Where can I get NJC PE attire ? Can't find it at Bibi baba.

      Thankyou
You can check out the schedule for sale of School uniforms/PE attires here:
      http://www.njc.edu.sg/index.php?option=news&task=article&id=192

🙂 In addition, uniforms/PE attires are also sold in the school bookshop during school terms.

            wheeee:
            phtthp:

            i)

            in the boarding school -
how do they separate out boys from girls ?

            is it
all boys stay in one boarding school, girls stay in another, OR
all same in the same boarding school - but different level
            example:
            boys - ground floor
            girls - 2nd floor

            boys - 3rd floor
            girls - 4th floor
            ?

            ii)
what strict measure(s) are taken by the school to ensure that once lights off -
no hanky panky stuff take place inside the hostel room - ie. no boy run to sleep inside the girls' dormitory, vice versa ?

todate, are there any teenage pregnacy or abortion happening in NJC ?

            iii)
other Junior college do not stipulate this minimum once a Term Per year stay in boarding school rule. Why is NJC so special in enforcing such a rule ?
what is the rationale behind ?

....All the boys. ALL the boys stay on one level, level 3. It's standard since njc doesn't have alot of boys. Then the girls stay on the rest of the levels. Except level 4. Level 4 is for the scholars.

I can assure you, that no one can ever go to another level that is not their own. They have this thing, at the door of every level's staircase, where you have to tap your ID card to open the door. If it's not your floor, you tap already also cannot go in one. There are security guards patrolling every level at 10.30 every night.
And no, there are no such cases. It is impossible that a girl could run to the 3rd floor, confirm she would get spotted and caught on cctv right? Who would dare to do such stuff? Students at njc are not like that.

The schools wants to highlight the importance of independence, in boarding your time-management skills will improve as well. I can assure you your kids will have fun.

As a former NJC IP student who had the opportunity to partake in the Boarding Programme for 1 month, I'd say that it was indeed a valuable and eye-opening experience. Parents, please be assured that your child will be in good hands.

            That said, some downsides include:
            - No wireless internet connection except in the dining hall and the dining hall actually closes at 10 plus 11 if I don't remember wrongly. What this means is that after that, students face great difficulty trying to get Internet to do their research or online homework and whatnot. During my time, I circumvented this limitation by subscribing to mobile broadband so it was really much more convenient.
            - Room might be hot and stuffy sometimes. It might be feasible to get your child to bring an extra fan to his room.

              Hello! 😄
My parents give me $5 a day for my allowance. In NJ, the cost of a meal ranges from $2-$4 and drinks from $0.50-$1.40 so $5 is enough for a meal and a drink or a snack, which should be enough for your child's needs.

NJC PE uniform is not produced by Bibi and Baba, but kosmos.com.sg.

phtthp, do you have any secondary school aged kids? Is your dd even in primary school yet? Why this fascination with boarding in NJC and asking if there are any teenage pregnancies? If I were an NJC parent I’d be quite insulted.[/quote]

                  Agree with you, Jtoh.

They are so strict, not talking about boys running to the girls’ floor, even if you run to different floor of your same sex,if you get caught, you be punished and asked to write reflection. That’s was what happened to my girl, caught coming out of her girl friend’s floor around 10pm.

NJ girls are definately not the heow type. K-pop craze, I would say, but not heow. In fact they are well behaved. My girl minds her "pleases" and "thank yous" even more after she is in NJ and more aware of how she should carry herself and thanks to boarding prog, she is more responsible and she learnt - there are consequences faced to all her actions.
