COP 2012 - For Secondary Schools in 2013

My son Mr Dragon didn’t get baby bonus…but daughter Miss Monkey got it. Both used it to pay for kindergarten fees. I am now thinking if Miss Monkey will suffer the same effects as Mr Dragon.

COP for all schools increased this year.

Just came back from dhs after submitting the appeal.
256 is the cutoff. Dd probably missed by decimals.
Parents will be informed next week if short listed for interview.
Sigh, 1 point can make such a difference.

magnumwalls......wish yr appeal to DHS is successful .......
since u only missed by some decimals as the COP this yr is 256.

Any talents to back up for the appeal ?
DHS niche CCA are CO, string ensemble, chinese dance.....

Dunman high COP is not 255.
My dd has 256 (254 +2) for higher chinese but got posted to TJC instead.
Now gotto appeal to DHS cause all her clique going there.

COP for DHS is 256 (inclusive of HCL).

Try to call the school and find out when the last day for appeal.
In the meantime, try to prepare a personal portfolio (academic + cca achievements, with certification photostated).

You might want to attend the talk in DHS (get the appeal form too!) and send your other half with your child to the posted school.

Quite a good chance. If you have any favourable CCA, you stand even a better chance!

Last day for appeal to DHS is this Friday, 21 Dec, Noon time.

#1: 3rd lang results

Hi, did anyone receive the result regarding 3rd language?

For 3rd lang, you will receive results when reporting to your posted sec school tomorrow. Upon registration you will receive a package with further steps to register for your assigned 3rd lang. In my year, we had to report to our posted 3rd lang center (Newton/Bishan) seperately.

This year there will be lots of appeal cases going around, with the increase in COP for a lot of schools. Parents & kids, all the Best to you for your appeal. But be realistic and learn to like the school you are posted during registration tomorrow, whilst waiting for your appeal results. I hope whichever school you go, you will be happy!

There will be MANY appeal cases this year.

My mr horse time will surely 265 above.

Yes... I am getting worried for Mr Horse now.... Need to look at statistics. Don't think no. of horse baby can be compared to dragon though when I come to think about it, horse is also a favored horoscope... For some reasons, I thought the no. of babies was a downward declining trend from snake to horse hence the baby bonus that was introduced during the year of horse ??? I recalled that I didn't get any bonus for Ms Snake but we got a bonus for Mr Horse or maybe be he was the 2nd child????

I think yr of horse is another year of competition . I have a dragon , horse and pig . After gg thru the year of PSLE with my ms dragon, I am exhausted . All my kids are born in auspicious Year , very hard life for me ! Ha ha ha . Thanks god my ms dragon did not disappoint me .
