I actually went to one of those tutors featured in the newspaper before as those top tutors (for O level) and to me, it was quite crappy... Quit after 3 lessons. I think recommendation by word of mouth is more reliable.
Yes. Heard tat hard to find tutor or tuition center are teach IP progm, which different sec different teaching way!!! So r the sec 1, sec 2, sec 3 student need to go tuition!!!!Rational_Parent:
As DHS is IP sec, pls advise r the pupil still need to have tuition? And where to go? Wat subject better to have tuition, senior DHS student & parents pls advise?
Grab a copy of yesterday's The Sunday Times and read page 12. There is an article on IP tuition where Dunman High and RGS were mentioned. The article is pretty complete, including where to get IP tuition for DHS and the fee.

Independent learning is essential, esp in an IP school.
Pupils can approach the subject teachers for allocating of time for pte/or group consultations.....
esp before common tests or exams, u will see pupils \"grabbing\" every opportunities to approach and consult their teachers .....
Doubts or clarifications required can be emailed to teachers,
so far what i have observed, all her questions are being answered/clarified.....
some subj teachers even offer \"online consultations\" prior to exams.... -
Augmum:
Know of somebody (from mainstream) who scored 265+2 & was posted to one of the 2 classes. Not sure why???Lucky2012:
Just curious. Do all the kids (non GEP in their pri sch) posted to class 1K/1L all scored 270+ ?
Should be.....(unless there is a change this yr)
But as i mentioned b4, there are also 270+ ( mainstreamers) in various classes..... -

So far those I know all had A* for these 2 subj.Augmum:

But don't be too bothered by these 2 classes, because like what Augmum said, they all sit for the same test and exams and same assignments. Only 1 diff I see is that for IH project they had an extra component.
By the way my son is in yr 2 now. -

But if they will to look at Maths and Science grades,
there are many pupils with A* in Maths and Science in all classes, considering that there is quite a number of 26X scorers.
During my gal yr ( 2010 sec 1), pupils with 271 were also not placed in the 2 SBGE classes....
