Mummychia, pardon me for asking. When I check on Everland website, most of the days they closed at 6pm. Opening hour is 10am.
The latest is 8pm only.
Do you know which day is the fireworks? I cannot seem to find the ifnormation on their website. -

wow thats very ex if go by taxi. how abt taking taxi to the nearest train station then from there take subway back? but may be tiring to transfer train after a day of playing.
Now its winter so the park close quite early coz its outdoor so its very cold. U may have to check again for the opening/ closing time nearer to date. But i remember reading somewhere that the fireworks start ard 8pm -
Fireworks at 8pm is late. Bear in mind winter gets dark at abt 5.30 pm. It will be very cold by the time it’s 8. Think more possible to stay longer in summer. It may be cold in march too.

Oh yes I don't mean fireworks at 8pm during winter, probably during spring or summer

When I was there last mth, the 10 min fireworks starts at 7.30pm. But before that was the Electric Light Parade which has many big colourful lighted vehicles and dancers parading down the street. You shouldn't miss these events as your kids will 110% enjoy it.
One thing to note is that the night-time temp is very cold. It was -7 deg when we were there so be sure to have your full winter gears and remember to stand under the heater station (these are gas-fired fan blowing warm air) if you have young children as the chilling wind can be uncomfortable for them. i’m trying to plan a family hols trip to korea end of the year, adults and 3 sec/pri sch going kids. For first timers to korea, is it advisable for us to go free & easy, or should we join tour group? thanks for the advice.

actually it depends on individual. free & easy requires lots of planning & research but definitely more flexibile than tour package. if u have the time, i recommend free & easy all my holidays are free & easy, partly becoz my kids are still young & i dont really like following the tour esp if there are some places which we are not keen but still need to follow 
but if u prefer hassle free then do join the tour as everything has been catered for, hotels, places of interest as well as meals
