All About T-Score

[quote="VALyap"]agreed with Jtoh, EEISS does NOT discriminate gender, it is by merits. as long as top 3% of cohort , EEISS cut off t-score, all SG kids be given.[/quot
Can know the cutoff point for EEISS? -
24hr_mum:
Each year the cutoff point for EEISS is different because it depends on the cohort.VALyap:

Clarifications: I did use a hypothetical score but here are the actual results. Note that this was also not within the last 5 years so things might have changed.
Person A: 260, GEP, EESIS due to GEP, got into School Y through GEP DSA
Person B: 261, no EESIS, got into School X
Both applied for French. Person A got it but Person B didn’t.
EESIS COP was 262.
Person B did not get into School Y at first (because of COP) but appealed and got in. At School X, Person B was told that he/she did not get 3rd lang. -

What is your point? And what has EESIS COP got to do with 3rd lang? And what has getting into school X and Y got to do with 3rd lang?Clarifications: I did use a hypothetical score but here are the actual results. Note that this was also not within the last 5 years so things might have changed.

I forgot to include my question: Is it possible for the person with the lower T-score to get 3rd lang in this case?

If it's an actual case, then you should know the answer. Furthermore, we do not know the selection criteria for 3rd lang. MOE has said it's based on PSLE results. But they did not reveal explicitly which part of the results. -

Exactly! And if the affected party felt that he/she had been unfairly disqualified, then should go after MOE. I donch think anyone here has an answer.67283:

I thought 3rd language result is given together with the school posting? if i recall correctly… and it is centralised at MOELC, not at school level?

In PSLE result slip it just indicate that one is qualified for 3rd Lang/foreign language. Rember there is 3 category. So for cat 3 - foreign Lang, need to be in top 10%.
However I remember reading somewhere stating that the foreign Lang vacancies may be less than total applicants & the vacancy will then be allocated based on results. I suppose same for 3rd Lang.
