      Hi bbhome,

No need to get the ID pass. If you need to go to the bookshop or the general office for any matters, just inform the guard at the security counter by the lifts and they will give you a sticker. But the Teaching Block is out-of-bounds. In any case, for the first day of school, you will be able to accompany your DS to the auditorium.

If your DH is bringing your DS to school, the traffic is still fine before 7.00am.

Btw, you may not know, but the prices of the food in the canteen is a bit more expensive than other schools.
OK. SO no need for pass. ๐Ÿ˜„ Yes I noticed the prices when I was at the bookshop buying book. Any idea why the food prices are higher ?

I think mine will be there by 7am or earlier. Will take the first 2 weeks to try out the bus timings. But he is used to being dropped off early at school so should not be a problem.

      Hi all,

Just found my way over to this forum. My son will be joining the ACSP family in 2012 too. Thank you for all the important details shared.

Hubby will be taking the public bus with DS to school as itโ€™s along the way to his office but I expected they will reach school really early in order to avoid the jam.

Can I check when do we actually go into school and is it necessary to get the ID pass ?

    • RE: Does school conduct test before allow the kid to reg Pri 1?

looks like some neighbourhood schools are pushing their students to excel so they do streaming to pick the best students who will be able to "enjoy" the limited resource.

I have been thinking...what are the reasons these schools merged or closedown? Is it because of the low take up rate? In such case, why would we want to bother finding out whether it is part of any merger if the merger proves its unpopularity (unless of course after the merger, it gain popularity..then we may want to tap into that...:P)? Wouldn't it be wiser or better to just choose another school around where we stay?

Both my primary school (was a transferred student) had 'disappeared'. ๐Ÿ˜›

sadly it all depends on the school so you have to either call up the school or MOE with the school name to check. My hubbyโ€™s school was considered closed so no such luck.
