Yes agree and its always the same "parents" promoting or sharing on this O level English master trainer. Notice it in all the forum discussion with regards to Secondary English. Hope parents here stay as real parents for real sharing/advising and not ‘tutors’ posing as parents.

RE: Catholic High School
Hi
Am new to this thread as I usually read pri school forum. Well, I have an older ds in S2 CHS!!
Yes, CHS Dec holidays usually start early for both pri & sec. Remember my S2 ds had like 2 months of holiday last year!! But then got to go back 2-3 times a week for CCA training…though you can be excuse for your holiday period.
By the way, looking for gd English tuition centre. Any recommendations for one that CHS students go to?
cheers! -
RE: fabian ng
He firmly believes in foundation skills such as working presentation, thinking skills, efficient methods…which I have seen in my boy after 4 lessons. As he takes in kids of all standards and he is not exam focus(eg. giving mock exam/papers before SAs) so no advertising of results achievement.

HAPPYH:
Dear Bee85,
Does he seperate classes for average ability and high ability? Or does he accept children with any standards?
ans: no separate classes but group to upper & lower primary. His teaching style is going to individual ability, eg. Child A is learning whole numbers and still reinforcing(as he is average) and Child B has escalated to Ratio(as he is faster).
Does he strictly adhere to the class size of 5?
ans: so far Yes.
Does he run any centre near West side?
ans: he has another centre at Holland Close(or Ave? got to confirm)
Anyway, if you would like to know more, I can pm you his number?
I am not confirm confirm staying with him per say but will just continue through to 2012 as my boy feedback so far is positive to stay on. Withdrew him out from previous tution ctr already. Well, just got to give a try bcos my previous years not too courageous to change and boy is always hovering around 80/80+(with firm foundation) for P3/4 but just couldn't \"breakthrough\".
Hope my sharing is useful to you.
Cheers!
Thank you so much for your feedback.
Hi HappyH, glad to reply as above

RE: fabian ng
Hi HappyH,
I tried to reply your mail message yday but had some prob with my phone y/day.
DS(for boy? sorry seldom in this forum chatting to know the terms…haa) started in 2nd week Nov(after Fabian started his own group) and has attended 4 lessons till now. DS able to feedback to me that he learns more from Fabian than his other tuition centre(was there for 3 years).
His feedback:
-learn different techniques in answering questions
-learn shorter routes to answer certain questions, saving time
-given more high order thinking questions and papers to attempt
-P5 but already started some PSLE questions…
what I observe:
-Fabian changed some small negative habits(working all over, bad handwriting, missed-steps etc.) and instill discipline to see that in his work given.
-other than PSP, has another assessment bk not sold at Popular.
-above as my boy feedback
Yes, agree price is steep but would continue to for now to see progress.
Got to go as just happen to see your message, will update more. Cheers!
Sorry for any typo error as rushing off! -

fifiyeo:
Hi Fifiyo, I actually requested to Mr Fabian Ng to let the new group try out Nov/Dec holidays(since holiday is abt to start) first and then decide if to continue for 2012. Reason I requested is bcos fee is steep and should let our kids try out if they are receptive to his lessons and most importantly beneficial. He is nice to accept this request and he will of course be glad to continue to 2012 shoud the group decide to.Hi Bee85,
My DS will be in P6 in 2012. Is this just for the Nov/Dec holidays??
Need 3 to start(including me) so interested parties please pm me and we will try to arrange commencement date. -
RE: fabian ng
Hi All,
Just to share some updates on Fabian Ng’s tuition service.
I drove past his new education centre(Fabian Education Ctr) recently at Upepr Serangoon Rd(near my place) and was just wandering if that is Fabian Ng’s tuition ctr and upon checking…sure it is! This is his new centre and he has yet to form classes. His teaching style is by individual ability in a group so there is this ‘personalised’ coaching according to your child’s pace. According to him, if a P5 child is fast, he will be teaching him P6 topics by mid-year and then overall revision in P6.
I am keen to start my child and try out for Nov/Dec period and Mr Fabian Ng is fine as long as there are 3 students for him to start the class. Wanted to "beef-up" my child during holiday as he will be in P5 in 2011(challenging year) and morever no ‘stress’ from different topics of teaching if it is school term. Personally, though its S$300/4 lessons($75/lesson), it is almost private coaching for just 3 students. At Andrew Er, its abt $55/lesson for 10-12 students. We all know that a private tutor with schl teaching experience charges $60-$80/hour.
If anyone is keen to form a group with me, info as follows:
Venue: Upper Serangoon Rd(near Kovan) - actual add to be given
Time(given by Fabian): Wednesday 7pm-8.30pm
Level: preferably P5/6
Commencement: as soon as group of 3 is formed
Following are some of his teaching methodology:
Fabian Enrichment Concepts is a fundamental based educational institution established to provide quality educational services to help students fulfill their full learning potential. We are committed to:
