RE: All About Badminton
Any recommendation of where to buy badminton rackets?
I am not looking at those big sports shop like Royal Sportinghouse, but rather those run by knowledgeable people who will take time to recommend the appropriate racket to my son. -
RE: NUS High School of Mathematics and Science (Diploma)
Does the school require students to own a notebook/iPad as study aid?

RE: Printer Recommendation!
Just came across this company selling compatible ink: https://www.ink555.com/Default.asp
I'm in no way affiliated to them, and I have not used their product.
I am posting here so that I can search for it when my current toner cartridge runs out.

RE: NUS High School of Mathematics and Science (Diploma)
Any idea when the invite to the selection camp will be sent?
Do they send only to the shortlisted candidates?
Will those unsuccessful ones get a "thank you for participating" email? -
RE: Travel: Malaysia - Desaru
Jing Wen:
Its advisable to visit Desaru in Dec? Concern above NE monsoon and flood...
From http://wikitravel.org/en/Desaru
Like all of Malaysia's east coast, Desaru is highly seasonal, with monsoon winds and rains lashing the coast between November and February. There is still plenty of sunshine even during the rainy season, but waves are high and it rains more. The \"good\" season is thus April to October, with June to August being the busiest months, when the waters are inviting and the sand fine. -
RE: Secondary School Affiliation to Junior Colleges
easily_contented:
Which post are you referring to?Sorry, I think Big Devil post cannot be trusted. Last year 2016 PSLE cut-off for this year's 2017 secondary school listing are all invalid. And many schools are missing from the 2016 PSLE cut-off list he gave. Well, personally only trust Ministry of Education now. So many \"bribery websites\" on the internet nowadays.
I think affiliation to any school means \"easier to gain admission\" with regards to the topic in view. Need to check with the respective JCs to verify whether those secondary schools truly have affiliation or not.
:thankyou:
TS was asking about the affiliated school list and as far as I can see,
that list has no mention of cut-off at all!
Also, that list was created back in 2009, when my DD1 was registering for P1.
Hence I compiled that Primary-Secondary affiliation list to help others to have
a easier view of what schools has affiliation.
Although the list is now 8 years old, I don't think there had been any changes
to the affiliations. So the list should still be good for PRIMARY - SECONDARY affiliation.
Again, the primary objective was to list those Primary schools with Secondary
schools affiliation. The Secondary-JC affiliation was just a tag along, and is NOT COMPLETE.
Of course. the most authoritative provider of any information with regards to schools in
Singapore is MOE itself. You can get all the affiliation information from the School Information
Service website http://sis.moe.gov.sg/ -
