Definitely one of the better schools in the east. Its in band 1. Affiliated to VJC, which I think would give you some advantage in the long-run.

Dunman High cut-off was about 260. My nephew obtained 256, my sister appealed to the school twice, as she was also ex-dhs, but still unsuccessful.

DHS is a definitely good school in the east but from I understand, it has been moved temporarily to somewhere in buona vista. Not sure when the current premises would be ready.

My niece attends the school. She enjoys it very much. In sec 3, they would do some aspects of economics etc. From what she says, it requires you to be more independent, which i think is quite important in today’s world.

      Hi all

My younger son is in Little Skool house in Thomson. It is relatively new. What i like about the childcare is that they would provide very regular updates on your child’s progress. Lessons to be taught would be sent to parents’ on a weekly basis. There are also video clips for you to view on your child’s progress there…and I have a good sense of what has transpired.

So to me, it is quite okay.

      Hi all

Just wanted to share that we are one of the lucky ones to get into St Hilda’s!!! The 32nd or 33rd place. I had a meeting this morning and hence couldn’t be present to witness the balloting. I can’t help but jump for joy when I saw the sms from hubby. My colleagues celebrated that joyous moment with me!!

I had informed my husband to sign up with Tampines Primary had we been unsuccessful…now I can finally relax…

I thought it was unfair as well. Read St Hilda’s site and felt that the reason given was not acceptable. Wondering if it would help at all to bring to MOE’s attention…at the expense of 1 less vacancy in Phase 2C.

      Hi

I’ll go for Chongzheng or Tampines. My husband attended the roadshow conducted by the TPS VP. According to VP, 60++ percent made it for the Express stream. Curriculum is not bad. My neighbour’ children’ are currently attending the school. The girls told me that from pr3 onwards, students are required to attend extra classes in the afternoon. Was also informed by these girls’ that streaming starts at P1-and the best classes are ‘Care’ and ‘Love’. School’s premises are currently undergoing renovation. They are building an amphitheatre. The new facilities sounded quite impressive. Like other schools, they also offered overseas attachment programme for the upper primary students. I was more concerned about the discipline standard and my husband mentioned that the VP assured ‘Discipline problems is not an issue’. Hence, overall, it sounded quite good.
