These high IQ maths questions can be psychologically harmful to kids. I meant, what if a confident kid saw one of these questions at the start of this paper and panicked??? Every question thereafter feels like a trick question already, even though it might be straightforward actually. :yikes:
Really need a good tuition centre that can train the students academically and also mentally. Don't know if any of the http://www.tuitionreviews.sg/browse-all/tag/subjectstaught/maths/criteria:1/ at Tuitionreviews.sg directory are any good for this. Did not see any good reviews yet from parents leh...

Technical testing? And you went 3 times? Weren't you afraid to be a test dummy? Ya, will try again after hearing my friend describe his experiences with memr_ding:
Definitely choose a weekday! I went the last time round and missed the Battlestar galactica ride as it was under maintenance.

Battlestar Galactica rocks! You must go again to try it. We were lucky when we went in Feb. They were doing technical testing then. No queue at all. Went 3 times each on the red and blue rides.

RE: about "ask me your burning maths questions" topic
Interesting thread! I stopped trying to understand the maths questions posted there after reading a few sentences of the 1st question..lol
I rmbed that the easy questions are mostly at the first few pages and it gets tougher at the back. But just in case I missed easy questions behind, I always scan through the whole exam paper before doing. Just in case. Well, was tricked once.
SO, tip to your DDs: Scan through the whole paper before you start doing!

Newspaper Storybook Analysis sounds like an interesting cocept. Kids never read newspaper. They should.

Hi carebear,
Thanks for the update. Really appreciate it. Seems like a glowing testimonial. Haha.
I hate zuo wen when I was small. But if I have good ideas in my mind, the words will just flows out naturally. I believe that if they can make zuo wen interesting and creative, students may enjoy it. For example, interesting titles and wacky scenarios to start with

RE: Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)
Hi truffle, I understand. Nobody is an expert. Everyone gives feedback based on their experience. And it is this real life experience and word of mouth that is so valuable and unbiased.
Your opinion counts as much as any other parent.
I was refering to Berries and EduPlus. Specifically the branches you went. -
