    • RE: Travel: Japan - General

      Hi Dimitri

      Thanks for your info.

Understand that it may be a little late to plan now, any idea on the difficulty of hotel booking, en-route to Hokkaido, public transport, etc.? What is the estimated cost for family of four? 8000?

Any info will be helpful. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thanks again.

    • RE: All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers

      mamamiya:
My boy is 5 yrs old. He started attending organ classes in a community centre when he's 4.5yrs old. But we shifted house to the east side. Just half a year ago, we bought a piano and asked a teacher to teach him piano at home. At first, I am a bit sceptical becos the teacher is a male. But he looks honest, so we decided to give him a try. Within 6 months, my boy's piano has improved tremendously. We are very happy with the teacher.

We know he stays in the West (holland area, I think) but he will travel to any parts of singapore (I stay in the east). He's not bad. I recommend him ๐Ÿ™‚

(btw, I am not related to him and do not receive any commission for the recommendation.)
      Hi mamamiya

    • RE: Comparing English Enrichment Programmes

      Hi Joe

Can PM me the tutor contact pls?

      Thanks vm.
[quote]My colleague recommend me to send my P2 girl and P5 boy for English classes in Holland Village. Classes are run by a former teacher at her home in small groups of 6. She also teaches Creative writing. My son's English grade improved greatly and most of all he actually enjoys writing! I was put on the waiting list for 2 months before my daughter can join her classes. The teacher used to teach in a top primary school and she's friendly, professional and good with kids. I can pass you her contact if you like.

      b2b3m4:
Has any of your kids represent their school in gymnastics though their school do not have gymnastics as a CCA?

My DD is now taking gym privately and i will most probably send her to a school nearby. But the school do not have gymnastics and i am thinking if DD can represent her school in gym, can she register that as her CCA and not take on more CCA. Will it be a uphill task to take this approach or shld i really look for a school that has gym as a CCA? She's currently taking artistic and rhythmic gym.
yes, your dd can represent the school if the school is willing to submit her participation for the competition. Inter-schools competition is usually held in April. Am sure u can talk to the Head of CCA abt it. The only \"problem\" is maybe she can't qualify for team events if the school team has less than 5 members in the same category.

there r 3 popular stalls at tg pagar hawker centre, 2 in the middle of the food centre and one at the last row which is my favourite (furthest from main road) facing pinnacle duxton. the stall manned by an old couple but they go holidays abt 2-3 times a year and 2-3 weeks each time. Another popular one at Amoy Street Hawker Centre, 2nd floor, next to famous Lor Mee.
