Has anyone know whether has RI shortlist the DSA students for the camp on 11 July 09.

Just call RI and they said they will inform shortlisted student by next tuesday.

      Hi Sunny Boy

      Thanks for the info.

I have more or less prepared my boy for the worse bcos RI DSA seem to be for the GEP and Sport Talent students. My boy is only good in his Maths & Science and don't have a strong CCA back ground. After his GAT, he was happy bcos he is able to understand the pattern questions and able to complete all.

But what surprise me is that when I spoken to him last night abt RI DSA he said \" Mummy, is ok I will do well in the PSLE and get into RI by the result\". Suddenly I find myself worry too much and now I tell myself to take it easy.

Once again THANK YOU for sharing the info with us.

I think you mean 11 July or 25 July... not June right?

You can always call the office to find out if those shortlised have been informed.

In view of H1N1 virus, i understand that even the school's Founders' Day programme has been postponed so I'm not sure about the status of the half-day selection tests for shortlisted applicants. (not camp)

      Yes, is July not June.

      Is there a camp?

Yes, accordingly to my boy b4 they started the GAT on 5 Jun 09, the speaker told them if they are shortlist for the camp, they will be attending the one held on 11 Jun 09 instead of 25 Jun 09.

Maybe the camp is for the mainstream student not the GEP.

I am quite keen in Ai Tong but I am concerned about the new funeral parlour in Sin Ming. It should be quite close to the school I think. Heard it is under construction now.

Do you guys have the same concern?

      Hi Aquamarine

My boy is in Ai Tong now heard abt the new funeral parlour but didn't see any under construction till date. What is under construction now is factory and office stated in the Project Signboard. Hope I didn't read wrongly (getting old now).
Wonder how the response to their DSA and open house so far?
Went to their open house not impressive maybe due to new school no student works therefore nothing to see. We ever found a room with game that was previously exhibits in library.

I'm also interested in sending my son to abacus training. Which is better: the traditional abacus or the 3G one?

Has anyone send their kids to edufarm or E&P learning Place? Which is better? Thanks!

Hi, I sent my boy to E & P when he is 6 yrs old. Till today (12 Yrs) he is very strong in Maths. I remember Ms Lian, his teacher told us that to be strong in Maths is to understand the concept and as long as u understand it u can do well.

Me & my hubby feel that the training he received from E&P do contribute to his Maths result.
