Hi ToddlesI have a very good PT cleaner too. she's from myanmar, now singaporean PR.
She's very thorough, quiet, and irons well. At $45 for 3 hours, not that cheap but I can really trust her to do a good job. Think what she can do in 3 hours, others need 4-5 hours to do, so overall worth it.
PM me if you want her contact.
Hougang area most convenient for her.
You've got PM! -
I have a PT who just has worked for me for one month. At the moment she comes once a week (4hr) when we are home. I would like to know how long your guys will trust your PT and pass the house key to her. Thanks!
-
as much as possible, i wouldn’t want to pass house keys to the PT helper. for those who do, do u ask for a copy of their IC? what additional measures did u have to ensure security and safety? thanks!

Hi all,
May I know what kind of rules and regulations do you give your part time helper? Do you demonstrate to her how you want the chores to be done etc?
I have 2 Chinese helpers. They are paid $12 per hr(from maid agency, no agency fees).
Yesterday, I asked cleaner B to clean the windows by climbing up the chair(that was what my previous full time maid did). She seemed unwilling and told Cleaner A, \"She told me to clean the windows!\" At the end of the day, I noticed Cleaner B only clean the bottom half of the windows, leaving the top part of the windows uncleaned! I asked her to use the toothbrush and toothpaste to clean the mouldy part of the fridge. She questioned me and said, \"Can this be done?\"
Sometime when I ask Cleaner A to do certain things, she doesn't look very happy either. Yesterday, she called me, \"A\"! when asking something :x
Overall, they are not very fast in doing things. Sometime, they will chat too...
Should I just sack them??

Hi PlayfulFairy,
You can give them another go but from what you wrote, they aren’t the keepable types.
If they are not even keen to show interest in their chores now, it can only get worse.
May I ask if your helpers are S’pore chinese,or PRC chinese? -
Hi AuntieM,
Both of them are Mainland Chinese.
Cleaner A has been with me for a few months. Cleaner B just joined last month. I feel like sacking them but cos I’m preggie the 3rd time, so am wondering whether I should bear their nonsense or take the risk to employ a new one… Do they sound even professional to you? Or is it I’m not "strict" with them? -
Hi PlayfulFairy,
They sound just like my friends' PRC helpers.
Why don't you try engaging a S'porean auntie (thru agency) instead?
The agency one time fee is beared by them and if you get one that is not too elderly should be okay.
If it makes your blood boil every time they turn up no point even if they are cheaper.. ...
Juz me 2 cents
