Anyone knows if the sch chinese publication 晨曦 by cldds is for sale or a copy will be given to the students?

Hi, it has been uploaded on LMS, Parent's resources tab, since last semester. A soft copy can be downloaded as well.

The soft copy in LMS is 2016 publication which i heard it didnt get published into hard copy. Now, the 2017 hard copy edition is out but not sure how the kids can get hold of it.

          Dear parents,

My dd entered NJC based on her PSLE results. She’s in JH1 but is not performing academically well. In fact, she’s below the average for most subjects. Any parents went through the same thing? Any advice?

I feel majority of the student in NJ, academically is very strong. Not surprise that the kids fall below average.

I heard from my girl, during Sec 1 alot of her classmate will cry after their test result is out. After sometime, they seem to \"get use\" liao. 😛

As long as she felt she is coping well and is not at borderline pass or fail. Personally, I feel nothing to worry.

Hi, much as I agree with JJ1111, I thought, jmo, you may wanna sit down with your dc & examine the reason(s) she's not performing to expectations. Is it insufficient textbook knowledge? Application skills? ... If textbook knowledge you may wanna read up a semester in advance. Any general Secondary school guide in the bookstore would give you a rough idea of what to expect in the coming term. If it is application, you may wanna look at some questions and model answers (after having acquired the foundation knowledge). I understand that it is common for the cohort average (MA, SC) to be an A & often full marks for MA (top scorer). 😓 😄 JH1 cohort camp is coming - relax first perhaps then can even try contacting subject tutor for advice?

I also have the same problem with shayho. Generally, I feel that the cohort did not do well for JH year 1.

I think it is a problem in the way the students are being taught the subjects there.
I am also thinking of how to help her out for Sec 2 next year.

Sch teaching style is the same for JH1 n 2. The kids are expected to read up or revise on their own. If have any doubts, they hv to make an effort to go the the subj teachers or some seek for pte tuition. IMO, sm subjects have certain answering techniques, its important to grasp it n do pract on their own.
