Know of a boy taking MEP and 3rd lang in year 1. Not sure if u can take both in year 2 though. Because that boy dropped his 3rd lang and cont with MEP in year 2. Forgot what was the reasons.ZMom:
Can I find out from anyone whose ds are in the MEP if the lessons are incorporated into the normal curriculum time or conducted after school hours? Are both courses on the same day? Need to know urgently cos not sure if my ds can still opt for a third language if he is hoping to join MEP too. Thank you.
Both mep and third lanuguage are after school hours. Normally different day, but you can't take both, must choose only one. It's elective programme, one student can only choose one elective in aep/mep/rsp/msp/cep/3rd language. -
Double maths combination is offered in JC.

ngl2010:
(4) Triple Science in JC1 is no longer allowed in Singapore. This is per MOE direction. But I think maybe NUSH is the only school that is exempted from this MOE direction? I am not sure about double Maths though.
For A levels, students can take a max. of 2 sciences (and 1 Maths) as they need to take a contrasting subject (eg. a humanities subject, Econs, KI, 3rd lang, etc). Chemistry is the de facto \"compulsory\" science as it is required by quite a no. of medical/biomed/engineering courses in university. Students can take either Bio or Physics as the 2nd science.
Further Maths has been reintroduced, so a double Maths combination is available now. The usual combination for double Maths is with 1 science and 1 contrasting subject. -

May I find out how are classes allocated for new year 1 students, among DSA and S1 admitted students? Would DSA students be grouped according to their domain and the S1 by t score? Or all via T score? Or just random allocation?
Then for the subsequent years? Based on results? Or remain same class for year 1 and 2?
Thanks -
I’m curious to know too regards to the class allocations

I spoke to RI admission office yesterday, all GEP students will be grouped together same class for year 1 & year 2. -
Cattac:
In the past, DSA students were allocated to specific DSA classes. However in recent years, the policy changed and there are no more so-called sports classes. Instead, DSA students are spread across multiple classes.May I find out how are classes allocated for new year 1 students, among DSA and S1 admitted students? Y1 students will ‘enbloc’ to Y2. At Y3, they will be split up based on subject combi.
