For your son’s case the army is not giving him an early dismissal of ORD. Instead they has extended another 6 mths on top of his remaining 7 mths. He is going back army to serve as a medical officer after graduation to complete his national service. Even though he has left with 7 mths to ORD, the time is not long enough for him to serve as an MO for the army. Thus a 6 mths was added under army's contractual terms and discretion for the disruption.
Disruption under medicine disruption scheme. Since balance 7 months, need to add another about 6 months to serve. Total another 13 months at least to serve after finished study.
Any good advice ? No early ORD
I don't think this disruption terms are applicable to those who has left with more than 12 months to serve after graduating. In this case it is personal and it is up to you to choose. Go back army to serve to get a higher rank of a Captain if he is not already an Officer. Also get the chance to practice and experience how an army field hospital and clinical centre environment are being managed. They are 1st class in my opinions. If not just don't accept the disruption and finished up the 7 mths left and start your study next year. -

Has anyone received the matriculation email from NUS/ YLL? Is there a form to be signed and submitted? What is the deadline? Thanks all.
-
Not yet. We are still waiting to hear from YLL. Im sure we need to sign the bond contract and sureties documents. I thought deadline was supposed to be 20th this month.

Really?? that's new to me
LKC can reduce the school fee, once it takes in more students, like YLL.
Heard LKC got such planning -
It also new story to me. Agreed it might happen, LKC facility not limited only to 150 students per year.
the present 500 students intake among the 3 schools can have the new slot proportion ? And make the 2 school fee not much different.
Since Imperial London can take 360 medicine students per year ?
