Is this year T-scores dropped? I didn’t hear any 270+. My DS neighbourhood school didn’t have many students scoring above 250s (around 5-8 out of 240 students). Just curious!!

I think that the psle scores this year has been affected by covid and online classes, and yes. Since attention spans are reduced during online classes, students wouldn’t have been able to absorb information as well as they could in face-to-face lessons. This would have resulted in not-as-high-as-expected psle scores for most of the students. That and the reduced time for lessons. We’ve been through a lot this year, so cut them some slack. Schools also have to lower their expectations as if they don’t, they will have only a few students taking secondary 1 next year.

My daughter got 259+2. Her first choice is NYGH. Is that a little far-fetched? And her second choice is NJC which is more safe. Should she just put NJC first just to be safe?
Can share if she got ESIS?

My DS has been given eligibility to apply for Third language (Chinese or Malay). Which one is easiest? I guess we can get 2 bonus points if we complete the special programe right?

Just put NYGH if that's her first choice...
It's not far-fetched; that's around the COP last year (not sure the exact number).
Anyway, this is not a choice preference thing.

Thanks. Which one is relatively easier? I guess they start from the base right? Coz, my son doesn't know either languages.

Due to circuit breaker, all schools did online HBL (home based learning)

Frankly, HBL learning is very different from face to face.
I don't know how much or how little they actually learnt, via HBL
