Slightly more than one-third of the population in Singapore have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, and about one-quarter are fully vaccinated.

      Stay safe everyone!

I’m perpetually on the road. Hence, I use the token to tap in a minimum of 10 times everyday, probably that’s why it drains out the battery very fast.

That's a lot! I use mine about 3 times a week. My first one, hardly used because I was using Singpass to scan mainly, lasted about 5 months. My current one was collected in Feb and is still working.

My current one is less than 2 weeks old 😂

However, using less of the token and more of the TT app on the phone. Too troublesome to whip out the token when it's easier to just wave the phone on the hand.

Sorry, asking a hypothetical question here.

Will contact tracing efforts be far less effective if Singaporeans

          (1) do not carry their TT tokens around; and

          (2) use their handphones TT app, but turn off blue tooth after SafeEntry check-in into places?

Yes I believe so. Such people would be flying under the radar, so to speak.

Unfortunately there are plenty of people doing that. Some of them deliberately do so. After the VB faux pas / hooha with the TT data being supposedly made available to the police for criminal investigations, can’t say I blame them either.

aiyioh, I know of lots of people turning off bluetooth at all times, except when checking into buildings. So while commuting, at coffeeshops etc, they are untraceable.

negates efforts to trace and isolate cases.

So technically, there might be more ppl infected, can withstand symptoms & unknowingly a spreader to next person(s) in our community.

That has always been a possibility. Even if we do it (enforcement wise) like the strictest country in the world has done it, there is no proof that it is a water tight solution either.

We might as well get used to it as I think that is where we're headed, sooner or later. Hopefully not till many more are vaccinated.
