2022 Sec 4 OP Higher Chinese students (born 2006 batch),

          - who have taken the O-level (Standard Chinese or " bu-hua " ) Oral cum Listening Comprehension National exam in July 2021, last year

          And

          - who have also sat for their O-level (Standard Chinese) both Papers 1 (zuowen) and Paper 2, dated 10 November 2021 (last year) -

MOE is going to release your GCE O-level (Standard Chinese) results next week,

          anytime from (12 to 14 January, 2022).

          Congratulations,
if OP students have scored A1 to B3, in your O level (bu-hua).

Even if have scored B4 to C6, never mind,
our school still allow Sec 4 OP students to proceed to sit for their O-level (Higher Chinese or " gao hua "), in November. This way, you can discount your L1R5 by 2 points, for admission into a Junior College, after your clearance of O-level (HCL)

                Hi.

Do the secondary girls go on a 10-day timetable or 5-day timetable? I saw only 5 days whereas many schools do 10 days, and I was wondering if I missed out part of it. They seem to be dismissed even earlier than primary school 🤭
                Thanks.

St Nick Secondary school timetable is based on 5 days (Monday to Friday).

You may refer to 2022 Semester 1 class timetable here -

                  https://chijstnicholasgirls.moe.edu.sg/secondary/others/announcement

                  for Lower Secondary -
certain days are dismissed at 1.30 pm / 2 pm

                  for Upper Secondary -

students are dismissed at 1.30 pm / 2 pm / 2.30 pm, depending on what subject combination you are taking.

                  Example

2022 Year 3 \"Unity\" is a Triple Pure Science \" IP \" class, with a long timetable, so much laboratory work to do, for the three Sciences (Bio / Chem / Physics) . Certain days, students are dismissed late, at 2.30 pm

There is a very big jump from Year 2, into Year 3 subject content

St Nick is a SAP school.

                    In St Nick,
there are some ( China and Malaysian ) students studying here, whose Chinese are powerful.

At the end of Sec 2 streaming,
during choosing Sec 3 " Humanities " combination that part -

some of our girls may prefer to choose "Full" (Pure) Chinese Literature.

However, our school also factor in the demand level for it.

If the demand for that batch is low, then school will offer "Elective" Chinese Literature, instead of "Full" (Pure) Chinese Literature.

                    Example

                    2022 Sec 3 this year,
we do offer "Elective" Chinese Literature. Yes, they chose Chinese Literature, not English Literature.

For " Elective " Chinese Literature,
SEAB exam subject code is 2287

My girl is in Sec 4 taking HMT and she’s received her MT (B3) today. Just wondering if she’s allowed to re-sit her MT exam this year to better her grade?
