oh if you are applying next year, you will be applying with actual and not predicted grades.
Generally for UK universities, GP does not count. The top UK universities will look at 4H2s though some may require AAA and not AAAA.
      Hi doodbug,

Thanks for replying. Are you applying this yr?

Different countries and universities have different closing dates for applications. These are almost always earlier than scholarship confirmation dates. So do apply to universities according to the dates they set. If not, you will have to wait another year to apply.

When did your boys apply for US/UK Uni? In JC 2 or during NS?

You can do it concurrently. Different scholarships have different deadlines (some have multiple application windows). All the best.

Some universities will only hold a place for 1 year, so boys who want to apply to those universities should apply during NS. Which these universities are, I don't know. So it would be good to check before applying.

Quite a number of students applied during Year 6 (JC2) and have already gotten offers/rejections (2022 cohort who received their A-Level results yesterday).

Do JCs have talks on guiding the students on overseas application ?

                        AFAIK, no.
There is no standardized approach adopted by overseas universities towards Singapore students. It may not be possible for the JC to tailor a talk to cover all angles.

If a student wants to apply overseas, he / she will have to do their own homework and legwork. There are quite a few exhibitions, seminars and trade shows that he / she can attend to find out more.
