Thank you all for the info and sharing.
Those students with AL 14-20 cannot join NAS. They have to go to another school with a worse G3 COP. They cannot join G2 posting group.
So AL21 is competing among the G2 group of applicants. U have a risk of being balloted out, but you should still try at first choice.
Your 2nd to 6th choices will be good fallback options. But i pray u get NAS lah

For now, we will stick to our 6 choices and will pry hard for NAS

Use moovit for journey planning. It shows multiple routes.
@Avenue3, Thanks a lot for sharing... Still quite puzzled Google doesn't include DTL in the route but will figure it out along the way (that's if she's really going there. I do agree on the over-emphasis on facilities, sorry for the kiasu parent speak haha... -
Hi may I ask if any parents here have kids or know of anyone’s kids who made it into PLMGS without affiliation and also not through DSA? I saw the cop for G2 is AL21-23 but I wonder how many seats are there for non affiliated students and if there is any balloting done for the last intake.
My gal scored AL22 and she wants to put PLMGS as her 1st choice but I don’t want her to lose her chance of getting into her 2nd choice if she doesn’t even stand a chance for 1st choice.
Appreciate if anyone can share more as I couldn’t get any info from the staff when I called up the school to ask. Thank you! -

PLMGS G2 or N(A) COP has remained at 23 for the past 3 years since the AL system was introduced. So there’s no harm putting it as 1st choice as there is a good chance of her getting in.

Many girls have made it into PLMGS (Sec) without affiliation and DSA. Not completely sure about the specifics of the last intake but there are typically 2 classes of G2 students each cohort, which would mean about 80 girls. 20% of those places, or 16 places, are reserved for girls from other primary schools including those who enter through DSA. Historically, PLMGS has admitted a higher proportion of N(A) and N(T) girls from other primary schools than Express stream girls so there are probably more than 16 places for non-affiliated girls. Also, there would be less competition than a mixed school as only girls are eligible to apply.
All the best! I really hope you get a place in PLMGS as it has a great N(A)/G2 programme -
Thank you Cloud1000 for your sharing & advice!

Hi, with AL6M, is it safe to put
1) RGS (6)
2) NYGH (7D)
3) SCGS IP (8)
Thanks ! -
Hi can I check in cases of appeal, is it left to individual school’s consideration who to admit based on internal criteria (eg affiliation, talents etc)? Just imagining if my son didn’t get his first choice (exactly the same as the school COP) and assuming the COP doesn’t change, is it even worth appealing? Any one with similar experiences to share?
Thanks. -
