club med bintan - food is so-so but very convenient for family with kids. best if kids 4 and up as there are the kids’ club so we parents can relax and don’t need to manage the kids until dinner time. should go with not gone before just for the experience. activities are the usual, trapeze, archery etc.

Are there activities for kids below 3? Thinking of somewhere for my year-end holiday
-
I went to the one at Bali, and they had activities for kids below 3.
My girl was only 2.5yo, and they brought her to the beach, simple art and craft and swimming as well.
So dont worry, as I am sure that she will be entertained.
Got some photos on my blog, and u can check them out there.

We went to Club Med Bintan last year for 3D 2N. Journey wise was pleasant as it is just a short ride from Singapore.
We went with 3 kids (2+, 4+ and 7+). The gave us 2 connecting rooms. 1 King and 2 twins. My 2 kids join different age group for 4 and 7. While my youngest was with us all the time. They have activities such as trapeze, art classes, archery, swimming fun, kite flying etc.
Food wise, there are 3 or 4 (can’t quite remember) with snacks served at the bars as well. There are even Heinz baby food placed in the fridge of the restaurants. I would say child friendly. We didn’t take the offer for baby cot nor stroller.
I think for a short break, it was pleasant. -
We went to Bintan Club Med during September school holiday. Overall we enjoyed ourself.
My hubby has wrote our holiday trip in his blog, if interested can take a look.

We went to Club Med Bintan last year with my 3 kids, age 7 and below. We get 2 connecting rooms. We put our 2 older boys in GO and the refused to go the next day. One said that he doesn’ want to go to the "childcare". The reason why he refers it as childcare is because they have a fix schedule daily, so if you put your kids there, they have to follow, regardless of whether they like that activity or note. The older boy also refused to go, said if we put him in GO, he might as well stay in Singapore. So in the end, we didn’t have a break for ourselves.
The beach is nice, water is very clear and the fish swim near to the beach. So you will see fish swimming at your feet! My kids also catched a few crabs, those that looks like Hermit crab, very tiny ones.
The swimming pool is very small and most part is deep so it’s not fun.
Food wise is average.
We paid about $2,600 and I don’t find it worth. Maybe because we did not join most of the activities. -

Besides activities for 3 year olds, how are their activities for 7-8 year olds?

For 7-8 yo: I think the activites are even better.
they get to go for the circus and try other older activites like tennis, golf.
Just not too sure whether the kids club brings them there, or u need to drop them there yourself -
Anyone can advise is there any difference booking through club med online and travel agency?
TIA.
