@ ilovechamomile: actually, now school starts on the tenth of january for us. And can I ask what CCA everyone joins? Thanks for your tips by the way :celebrate:
There's this CAFE programme. You'll join 3 different CCAs throughout the year for 10 sessions each. The available choices are the niche CCAs. You can also join the other CCAs but you'll have to go for both the CAFE and the other CCA. -

Hello,
I am parent of a 2011 new JH1 NJC student. Would like find out how is the culture of NJC - students and teachers wise.
CAFE is very refreshing. Heard these days, especially popular school it is CCA who choose students and not vice-versa and sad stories of students stuck with something they do not like as the popular ones are not available. In NJC, after the trial of 3ccas in the first year, is the CCA in 2nd year onwards to be the final CCA. In 2nd year, when you opts for the CCA, is there a selection process, how does it work? I read about this 2nd CCA if one wishes to go for if it is not in the CAFE - is it common at NJC for students to take up 2 CCAs, isnβt it tiring to do that with the new transition from primary to JH1.
Also, for the integrated Language Arts, is grammatical skills and complex sentence construction still taught in Language Arts, it does not appear to me it is taught.
Any students can share their views on integrated Science and integrated Humanities - is it confusing when the various subjects are combined. -
Hello,
I have a child who is new to NJC. Most IP schools have a banding test in the first to fourth week as soon as school starts. Does NJC have it too and if it does when?
Cheers
