Intensive revision in sept for psle

Thanks Brenda. Yes, I did call Ernest wong to enquire about the camp and the intensive weekly sessions. His advice is most of his students attend both. But currently my DD has a home tutor for math, so I may only enrol her for the camps. My pal's son attended these camps and were all praises for them.

During my elder boy's PSLE year, I enrolled him in a crash course for Sci in the Jun hols.


I wont wait till the Sept one week hols to do intensive course. Might be quite unnerving for the child if he only knows by then what he does not know abt the subj.

Jun hols is a better choice as whatever found to be lacking can be caught up way before the Prelims/PSLE days.

Can you share which crash course is this and do you find that useful? Thanks.

Any parents send their P6 kid to oral / compo class in Jun? Can share which centre you went to and whether you think it is useful? My kid weak in his compo and oral, and we are wondering if the last minute crash course might help - can't be too early else he would have forgotten all by then. Thanks.

Consistency is the key to success in education and examinations. A good foundation matters rather than a last minute attempt, and the students need to peak at the right time too, in the actual PSLE.

We did Science @ Modular Edn Centre (Bt Timah Plaza). My elder boy asked for it, he was not too comfortable with the sch Science teacher then. The tutor did a revision of topics from P3 to P6, concentrated on open ended qns. My boy enjoyed the lessons and told me he learnt more from the tutor.

If the student has consistently done well in P6 exams, he or she will do well in PSLE.

I'll need to evaluate if DS will need any intensive courses based on his CA1 and SA1 results this year. Best not needed as these courses are usually expensive and I really don't like the idea of last minute intensive drill. Well, let's play by ear and see how it goes.

I think Sept to attend intensive seem a bit late and I worry will make th chidlren too tired. Cos need to take note that 29th Sept will be their 1st paper to sit for.
