        hi,

my girl is turning 4 in sept. im thinking of signing her up at berries only when she is 5. after reading ur posts… it’s good to sign up around 4-5 yo… make me reconsider … i have a fren who only signed up her girl when she is 7 yo (p1). and he said within few months time her girl improved tremendously, from the last few to the top few in chinese. before that she is in Shicida method.

maybe she has picked up the learning skill from SM.

        Cheers,

Actually, I was wondering which is good or quite similiar: Han Lauguage, Molin @ Katong area or Berries. Of course I also think of the travelling time since I am stay at the East side. My dd is coming to 6 this year. Is there anyone who could share their view?

          Thank you.

Just an update on my 4 year old (5 this year) attending berries. From not liking chinese, he now get angry why we pick him up so early from class. So I guess he is enjoying it.

Must emphasize that parents play a part. Berries do stress that point. Like when we never complete the homework, we get "scolded". They know its the parents fault… hehehehe… So i think its good, cus they take our kids education very seriously.

somehow i agree that enrichment classes with discipline in handing work is better so that we make it a point to get our child to do the work.. heee..

              my first choice is Berries..

                      truffle,

Do you know the difference between berries and tien hsia for upper primary? Does tien hsia have higher std than berries? Thanks.

In my opinion, Berries and EduPlus are better for kindergarten to lower primary! My son has been with EduPlus since k1. Their methods make learning fun and effective!

As for Tien Hsia, their materials and programme are more academic driven and comprehensive! Again, it depends on individual kid's needs!
My son is taking higher Chinese in P4 this year so I am giving tien hsia a try to see how it works out for him!
