      mylittleprincess:

ur boy in Nursery or Kindy in BPMC? im thinking of putting my girl there when she is ready for Nursery...
      Not in kindy yet.
Places are very limited. Act now, think later. 😉
but if you are talking about enrolling your 2008 kid, BPMCK had recently started a PreNursery programme and 2008 kid's registration year is next year.

            Hi mylittleprincess

It helps to really have a good mummy post the information here.

I am thinking of putting my 2 year old boy into full day childcare since I work and what you posted are so handy.

I am actually thinking of the Ichiban Kiddie Kollege and I am happy to read that your review about it is quite good.

I have never been in the center but I just spoke to the principal, Elizabeth and she sounds ok.

But not sure what the excursions seems like.

And are they really into montessori standard?

            Cheers!

            hi
            its me again:)

i went to another 2 CCC inBt Panjang, and here's my thots.

Carpe Diem Educare @ 167 Petir rd
i like the curriculum very much and the spacious classrooms. Wendy, the supervisor was very nice and friendly..children looked very active and happy:)..the only down side is they seem to have a TV in every room..n the kids were watching cartoon while waiting to shower ..didnt like the idea of watching tv..open air , no air con, separate kitchen, indoor gym + they do go outside , either to see birds/flowers or play games, or go to playground..nice:)
HD - $350 after sub, FD - $360 after sub..
a tad too far for me tho, cuz have to take a bus to pick my girl up...if its nearer to my place, i will shortlist this:)

            Ichiban Kiddie Kollege
it is very clean from the outside..they didnt allow pple to go in cuz of H1N1, which is good. Principal Elizabeth is very nice and warm. A good thing is, they teach montessori and at very affordable price...downside, only offering Full day, and i have to take a bus to CCC. only one TV, (according to Principal) and tecahers look ok, young and friendly too...didnt manage to see the kitchen, but the air inside the rooms seem very clean and fresh. i like the environment. Quarterly outdoor excursions too.Nice..:)
But again, becuz its montessori, limited spaces..must reserve...
i might consider putting my girl there, for Full day, but may bring her back in the afternoons...
            i like this one:)
FD- $320 after sub (very affordable :celebrate: )

after recce-ing so many CCCs, i think ichiban and the salvation army has given me some good vibes...im going to see another one soon, but will definitely shortlist these 2 to visit again..:)

              hi micsarsam

elizabeth , the P of ichiban, said that not all the teachers are not montessori trained, but when its time for montessori, there will teachers who trained in montessori will take over the class..so, to me , its good enuff, since their rates are so affordable.. :rahrah:

i think u should drop by and have a look, since the opinions are based on my feelings lar..:)..but i think they did a good job in creating a nice learning environment..:)
i think the excursions also tie in with the themes that r taught in the term..like if got marine animals theme, then will go underwater world, if animals theme..will go zoo...quite fun..:)

                Heyya micsarsam,

Please take time to view the actual place.
They have a few branches. The one i visited
at Hong San Walk did not leave me with a good
impression, IMHO… The manner a staff treated
an 18mth old girl really bothered me.

The poor cutie was crying and unable to lift
her mattress after nap time. When she spoke
in whatever bb language she cud muster to tell
the staff she cudn’t manage and needed help…
I remember the staff not only ignored her but
said this, "Awwh… if you dun keep your mattress
back to the cupboard, you cannot have your snack."
"If you cannot carry, then you stay here lor… byeee…"

                :!:

I didn’t wanna stay a second longer. So heart pain…
The bb kept crying and with all her strength… dragged
the mattress slowly to the opposite class where the cupboard
supposedly was. Sigh. So poor thing reali… and the bb was so
                cute some more.

                      nhl:

We visited the both centres last year and will be enrolling our daughter when she turns 2 months to the Babies Inc.

To be honest, I think both centres are good and bad. This is a small summary of the points:
                      Babies Inc:
                      Good:
                      1. Clean environment and large space for infants
                      2. Area all fresh air
                      3. Staff speak good english (We spoke to a 3-4 persons I think)
                      3. Staff friendly, I spoke to two different ladies and both were very friendly
                      4. Infant room large with low infant/sqm ratio....;) Let just say that they can easily double/triple the number infants.
                      5. Rooms all fresh air plenty of fresh air.

                      Bad:
                      1. A little bit boring, there could be some more decoration. It seems like a clean but slightly boring place.
                      2. Car park has potential to become full. When it rains you need to walk a long way to drop off your kid (1-150m??)

                      Sunflower baby house:
                      Good:
                      1. Seems like a more fun place for children
                      2. Staff friendly
                      3. Covered access, easy to drop off the kid on a rainy day

                      Bad:
                      1. Infant room very crowded, many cots next to each other
                      2. No fresh air in infant room. They rely on air purifiers and there are no windows. We got claustrophobic in there.

As we are new parents our main concern was that our kid should be in a clean environment, our idea is that Babies Inc will give this. Later, when our kid is older we maybe look for a different place as Babies Inc seems to be very strict in the kids upbringing.

So, we do not have a real experience other then the visit. Does anybody else know anything about these places?
I would not recommend babies inc anymore... 😞 😢

both my sons enrolled in ichiban kiddie kollege. glad that i've chosen the correct CCC for them.thumbs up for the teachers there!

they are in playgroup and just started in april.so far, i can see improvement in my boys. i quite like their programmes curriculum as well as their menu..yummy!!
ichiban is the last centre i've viewed and overall impression surpasses all the other centres.
Principal is very very friendly and patient, she can chat with you as if you are friends with her. The teachers there are real good. very attentive to every kids.even the aunties doing cleaning n cooking are friendly too! clean, airy environment although its a bit small.

Agape little uni - only been to their open house.programmes wise very gd (erm, even till kindergarten).they hv special programmes once in a week. got drama classes, chinese painting etc. as its a new CCC, the centre is still very clean. plus point is, they are inside cashew heights condo...got security guard.hee...

Carpe diem - as what mylittleprincess has said. negative point, i dun like the kids watching tv while waiting for their turn to bathe and dun like the environment.feel tat its not that clean.

gloryland - the moment i stepped in, i have the messy feeling. everything seems so messy.the place der abit run down maybe becos been der for long? their classrooms are upstairs.boy, playgroup classrm v small.though each classrm hv its own toilet.programmes wise, also have themes like ichiban.gd point is their programmes.

[Moderator's note: Entry removed due to site restrictions.]

sparkle tots - principal sucks..totally put me off...dun hv the flexibility.didn't get to knw mre abt their programmes..u knw la, everything has to go by the book.its airconditioned. separate rooms for activities..tat means kids hv to put on n take off their shoes every now n then. kitchen also,in another area.
