Sorry...may i kaypoh abit..what's TNS? thksFairly safe to say that all kids in P6 are stressed. The gd ones will be stressed out trying to get into top schools; the average ones will also be stressed out trying to make sure they don't end up in some mediocre neighbourhood schools; those below average will be anxious they may end up in normal stream while those at the bottom of the cohort will also worry they may end up nowhere. Such is life in SG.
Heard that TNS is moving to Tampines, yr 2 kids will face transport problems? -

Hello @_@
I'm super new here, let's just say barely a day old. hehe.
My name is Joy and I'm a proud mummy of a 4 yr old daughter. She's basically a girl, but sometimes she turns into a monkey. Otherwise she's fine. In fact I like her this way cos people say she's like me! ahem! hahah.
I stay at Tanah Merah! While skimming thru the earlier/pioneer posts starting from April, i spotted another tanah Merahrian. Haha. Maybe we bumped into one another @ Eastwood Cold Storage or Bedok NTUC fighting for the best looking apple? Who knows?
Just like many of you, I have this stubbornly-biased love for the east. Parkway Parade and Pasir Ris Beach play a huge part in my decision to remain here. Sometimes I even tell ppl that I married my hubby cos he passed the test of staying in the east. Must be the same wavelength mah... agree? lol.
Ok, enuff of praising the east... acutally we've been venturing to the West during weekends (mainly cos my girl likes to sleep in the car during our journey to the west (hmm journey to the west sounds familiar - like some Mnkey God story?!!) We shop at IMM Daiso, love the 3rd flr open playground to bits, enjoy tea at the crowded HK cafe outside Daiso, my girl loves to play at the furniture shop which sells cute kiddy beds shaped like cars etc....
So I think everywhere is the same, pros and cons... but in the meantime, I'll still do my 3 cheers for the east!!!!!! Glad to find this forum too, can gossip with mummies from the east, esp about yummy cheap food, kids frenly places, undiscovered play areas for kids, etc etc.
Cheers,
Joy
