those who did PV, just wondering how the sch allocate the assignments and will there be enough to ensure completion or required hours?

It really depends on the school. I believe generally if you have done a reasonable chunk of time, they will find some way to help you complete the requisite hours.

Autumn82, do note Marymount did conduct balloting under phase 2C for those staying out of 2km in year 2006 (dragon bb cohort).

Oneheart, yes it really depend on individual schools. For mine, the PVG will email all parents whenever they have any assignments. So whoever interested will respond to the email. Generally quite easy to clock the 40 hrs, no problem.

er ... Nanyang is not under SHHK. SHHK primary schools are Ai Tong, Tao Nan, Chongfu, Nan Chiau and Kong Hwa

Different Schools assign different type of duties for PV.

                  Go to this website http://www.emailmeform.com/contact_webmaster_fid-276712.html

The list of duties is listed in the form. It will likely help your chance of being selected if you can specify some specialised skills other than those listed.

I would advise you to register early also. NYPS need min 80 hours versus MOE min of 40 hours.

                      Hi joyceling,

ya…St Hilda actually would not call u if u are not selected. But me and hubby die die want a black & white answer…lol…hence wrote to sch…sch wrote to the Parent Support Group chairwoman…and then she replied lor…said not shortlisted…& said they dun usually write to reply if you are not shortlisted…they take it, you would know if you did not hear from them. To me, no matter what, accept or rejected, I feel it is only right and polite for them to reply! they already had a briefing in early Jul for those selected parents. your kid need to register next yr for P1?

see this yr Phrase 2C for St Hilda…me do not dare to try at all already! too risky!

Hi Parents, anyone did pv for Red Swatika before? I have been selected for this year, but nothing assigned so far. i wrote to the lady incharged, said no job matched yet. Do you know if they will allocate at least 40 hours to the selected PV before next years registration? Do i need to keep checking? I was a bit worry, as most of the school has already started the PV activities, i am putting big hope on this PV, as no ballot for this years 2B, i am staying about 2+km. Thanks for sharing.
