My friend just confirmed with NCPS that within 1km under Phase 2B no need to ballot. Phew.....

Agree...not easy being a kid and parent.
Times have changed...no longer those days of childhood like before.

Actually it’s the same I think. I remember when I was enrolling for primary one in the 80s, I lost in the ballot of a nearby neighbourhood sch. It’s not even popular or high std. Maybe just a lot of kids nearby then. Got posted more than 2km away to another unpopular neighbourhood sch.

ok... some updates... on DH's application for a new IC..


gd news is that he DID go ICA..

bad news is that according to ICA people, there is no such thing as temp IC or collection on the spot.. actual IC can only be collected 1 month from today...

all ICA did was to issue a letter indicating DH reported his lost IC & applied a new IC, dated 20 Jul 2011.

nothing was mentioned abt using this letter as part of the requirement for pri 1 registration in which hopefully DH can be excused for nt providing the actual IC..

i was thinking the letter would go something like that \" this is to certify so & so has reported & applied for a new IC which would only be ready on the 20 August 2011.

hence, kindly excused him for not being able to produce the relevant document, in this case, his identity card, for primary 1 registration.

chey... might as well i write the letter & get ICA to sign & endorsed... :evil: :siam:

so now bo pian lor.... will take this letter to the school & hopefully, they will excuse me... :xedfingers:

Better call the sch to ask wat other back up document needed.
Maybe they might need some mailing bill to proof address distance n birth cert too.
