These were the COPs that my friends whose sons are in ACSI told me too for 2010, 2009 and 2008. The sons were from ACSP and the parents are very active in the school so I assume their info is correct. OK, let me clarify the confusion. ACSI has 2 streams - Express & IB.


For Express,
COP for ACSJ & ACSP is 235.
COP for non-affiliate schools, range between 245 to 252 (per the table shown above).

For IB,
No advantage for ACSJ or ACSP, purely on merit.
The COP depends on the year’s cohort. IB takes around 180 students at Sec 1 - about 50% comes in through DSA (Academics via HAST), others through PSLE COP. Depending on the year’s cohort, the COP varies. But I believe the range is around 256 (2009) & 254 (2010) I believe. Of course there are some with lower COPs in the IB program, but these usually are in via DSA sports (as is the case in other schools).

not necessarily so, coz those that get in under DSA sports, if they dont meet the cut off of 250something, they go to the express stream ... unless they already got into IB thru the HAST test, just like all the others that got into the IB under DSA.

Is ACSI within walking distance from the new One North MRT station?

Technically, it is within walking distance of even Dover or Buona Vista MRT stations (10 min). One North is closer.

Autolycus is correct. As an ACS student, can definitely say that dover and Buona Vista are extremely close, and you sould easily be able to take a bus from both, if feeling a little lazy too

Anybody know about "accelerated class of science" in sec 3? How can be selected in this class? What is ratio between normal class and accelerated class?
