      ycpang:
With EESIS COP same as last year and top 10% up by one point, looks like this year (2011 PSLE) COPs for top schools will most likely maintain the same as last year, and the chances of moving up are higher than down.

      Agree?
Also depends on the number of kids in the cohort.
Is it more or less compared to last year ?

        2010 PSLE - 45,049 students
        2011 PSLE - 45,261 students

Given that the number of students in 2010 and 2011 are about the same, I think the COPs for the top schools should be about the same. Top schools here meaning R/RGS/HCI/NYGH etc.

With the introduction of IP in some schools for Sec 1 in 2012 and Sec 3 in 2014, I expect some changes in the COPs of schools in the second tier, those whose COPs are >250 and the new IP schools.

                Hi All

Just curious how is the % being calculated, ie. 250 belongs to the top 10? How about 254+1?

                Thank you!

                  Nobody knows except MOE. If you \"die die\" want to know, then u have to assume somehow an even distribution from 251 to 259, and u will get;

                  260 and above - top 3%
                  259 - top 4%
                  258 - top 5%
                  256 to 257 - top 6%
                  254 to 255 - top 7%
                  252 to 253 - top 8%
                  251 - top 9%
                  250 - top 10%

EESIS is for top 3% of the cohort only.

10% option to choose 3rd lang
