Hi
Anyone can share which hotel/resort have nicer beach front and room?I have young kids 3 and 4 yrs old.
Turi Beach, Batam View Beach resort or Harris? -
For those of you who had been to Batam/Bintan, did you park your car at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal? Just saw on the http://www.singaporecruise.com.sg/index.php/terminals/scctanah-merah/parking-fees/ that parking fee is $20 per day!
-
I did. I had once came back on a Sunday evening, and it was raining. Waited for a long time for a cab. So decided to drive henceforth.
The carpark is fenced up and a police patrol car routinely drive by (saw the police car drove by several times while I was waiting for cab). So should be reasonably safe to park there. -
We will be staying for 2 nights, so the parking will cost us $40+! :faint:

Any reviews for Bintan Agro Beach Resort or Bintan Cabana Stay? What to do there? How long is ferry trip - choppy or not? Scared of sea-sick.
-
ferry ride can be quite choppy about 2/3 of the way to Bintan, at about where the shipping lanes are. Especially when it is rainning heavily.
-
2 hours ride? Safe or not huh? I never like boat rides. Yaks.

If you take the ferry and the ferry has double-decker, don't choose the upper deck if you are prone to sea-sick. Because the higher up the more rocky it is! One our way to Bintan, we sat at the bottom level of the single deck ferry. On the way back, the ferry is those double-deck type and I book the upper deck because it is more \"exclusive\" and expensive. Turned out my maid got sea-sick on the way back and I got problem climbing up and down the deck to buy snacks for my boy. -

You bought the deal from deal.com.sg?
I was tempted at first, then I went to the http://www.agrobeach.com/location.html and saw this:
Location
The island of Bintan is about 40 Km from Singapore.
The travel time to Tanjung Pinang is about 1 hour 45 minutes by ferry.
Bintan Agro Beach Resort is situated on the South-Eastern coast
of Bintan and is 45 minutes away from Sri Bintan Pura Ferry Terminal
Plus the traveling time from home to Tanah Merah terminal, that's close to 3 hours!!! :yikes:
So I have now made a booking at Nirwana instead.
