We've never celebrate our wedding anniversary at all. When we were newly wed, parents from both sides take pains to call us up to congratulate us and everytime our standard reply was \"opppsss.....we forgot\" and carry on our normal day to day activities. Brought up this subject to DH recently since my last posting and he replied, if we are happy everyday, why celebrate?

But we do promise each other to have a big bash once both of our kids completed their uni and settle down for marriage. We will then re-trace our honeymoon route in US and hope to take photos to be compared how we were years ago and how we are like in our golden years.

Anyway, I'm arranging sunset barbecue on a boat this Sunday for the family.

So, another nice way to celebrate anniversary will be to have a sunset cruise for a few hours. I am not sure how much it will cost for chartering a boat (mine free πŸ˜‰ ). Here is the website that does cater for celebration in the sea. http://happycruise.com.sg/index.htm

Another one is Admiral Cheng Ho which I've tried before. Not very fantastic but overseas friends and colleague seems to like it.

For my last anniversary, I also got a pair of couple rings. We went for a nice lunch to have 1-1 time & also for a movie. Simple stuff, but spending 1-1 time together.

Talk abt rings... both hb and I dun even know where we lose them. πŸ˜› We have been ring-less eversince... thot of getting a new pair for the coming 10th year anniversary, but likelyhood we will lose them again.

We celebrate our anniversary on ROM date, cos to us, that's when we are REALLY married.

A good idea of spending anniversaries - try a couple spa. You get bubble bath, a sauna and then a full body massage with just the 2 of you. Spend the time chatting. All in all about 3 hours, just nice to get back to the kids at home if we leave work on the dot. πŸ™‚

Went to one in marina square, damage was abt $250+/-. πŸ˜„

            I sent my DH flowers!

You can also have a nice romantic dinner on the cablecar.

(Sidetrack a little) Talking about rings, I could not resist telling this . .

Soon after our marrigae, I had a challenging time getting use to a ring on my finger. I'll take it off during every shower so that it does not \"scratch\" me or dig up huge chunk of soap (yes, I'm still on Dettol bar soap !).

One fine day, I did exactly that and forgot to put it back into my finger. Went out for lunch with my wife. I guess my wife did not notice it either (how wrong was I!!). Half way through our lunch, i realise the \"absence\". I was πŸ˜“ . . . trying very hard to recall where on earth was it. Then, memorybank come on, and was cocksure I left it in the bathroom. In order not to blow the cover, I pretended that I had stomach discomfort and should head back immediately after lunch. And my wife kindly obliged (little do I know . . . ). Sped home in our speed machine then, thinking I'll pull this off . . without sweat (or rather dried by then).

Reached home, headed straight to my bathroom . . . and it was not here :!: stayed in there for awhile :? . Adrenalin rushing, palpitation coming . . . how am I gonna explain this . . lost my ring, barely months into marriage. That won't fly !

Came out looking stressed, and wife asked, \"Everything alright ? Did you purged?\" . . of course not! How could I concentrate . . . but must maintained 😎 . And finally, \"Err . . . I can't find my ring, not sure where I left it. I thot it was in the bathroom, but . . .\"

And my wife burst out laughing. She kept it, as she went into the bathroom immediately after I got out, that morning. . . (see how vicious women can be  ). She knew exactly what was happening, from car ride to lunch, to stomach discomfort, rushing home and etc, it was like a known movie playing out, in exactly what she expected it to be :stupid: .

Lesson learnt! Since then, the ring never left me. πŸ˜‰

I bought titanium ones from Goldheart.

The sales lady mentioned : scratch-proof.
To me that equals to itch-proof. πŸ˜‰ So
far buds_hubs hasn't said anything... or
perhaps he's still into the soap. He's
a Dettol guy too coincidentally.

sashimi and I got platinum ones and he’s the one who takes it off everyday when he gets home. It made my skin itch, like, 10 years after wearing it. Dunno why. Anyway, I wear it on a chain around my neck now.

Ya. The platinum ones seem to itch.

So i only get white gold & diamonds now.
