No, these are not home based classes, they have their own outlets/branches. They are group based though (ie, each class have a few students).

Hi, just to check at what age do you all start music class for kids? My gal will be turning 2 this May, thinking of getting her started on some music class. But i wonder if she a little too young for music class. what is the advantage of starting music class at this age? Does it means that she start young, she will be able to proceed faster thru her music education? I have no intention to push her for those piano examination but i will like to have her develop to her fullest potential.


We went for a trial class for MYC at Bishan last mth although my gal is still too young to start sunrise 1. But my gal really enjoyed the class, the teacher given her her fav teddy bear stickers and etc.

what is the different between diff school, and how do we choose?

Hi all, i am super newbie to forum but i am looking for music school to bring my 4yo nephew. Chanced upon this thread cos i was googling on myc. I’m thinking of bringing him to thomson branch cos thats nearest to my plc. Anyone know of any ‘nice’ teacher in thomson branch? I saw quite a few posts of nice teachers in JE, hougang, tamp and sembawang branch but din see any from thomson… Anyone here that has suggestion?

If you want to register your gal in MYC, my suggestion is that you make sure she graduate sun rise 1 no younger than 3 years 3 month. Because sun shine 1 start to teach key board, and MYC require children reach 3 years 3 month old. My gal finish all three sun rise terms before reaching 3 years old. And now she need to wait several month to begin sun shine. I worry she'll forget all the pattern during these months.
