Thanks coolit. Told my friend about it, she has been asking me when popular sells since I cant get for her at TAS itself.

      Hi cel-tang,

Liza Tan books have been around for quite a long time. They are like basics to writing, good to have. The compos in TAS’s creative writing books are more advanced kind, children write with flair. Good to have to bring child up to another level. So it depends on the needs of your child. I have both Liza Tan’s books and TAS’s books.

Liza Tan is the founder of Mexxi something, not too sure. It is a creative writing centre at Jurong.

Thanks for answering my question. I have gotten vol 1 and 2 and it is indeed good. I feel it is more suitable for p4 and above though, not p3. My kid is in p3 and it is a bit cheem for her but I still buy to keep first. 🙂

              Hi G Tan,

Um, not sure what you mean special, but based on the compo books I’ve seen in the market. so far only TAS and those by mexxi place have interesting compos. Some of the compos in the other guide books are really boring - no names mentioned. If u dun trust, just need to pick it up and have a read at popular, up to individual if they like/not.

I also did not know what the fuss was about but when I picked it up to read, I found that the writing is very good. The techniques are interesting. Most books in the market do not provide any techniques, just the model compos and even then their model compos are very boring. I think if my child wrote like that, sure cannot do well.

I think it is the usual, bring pencil box, water bottle, notebook. Not many things this time as it is a day camp.

Hi, does anyone knows whether TAS is closed during school holidays? Have been calling them almost everyday but no answer. Have also drop an email to ask them to call me but also no answer. I have wanted to sign my son up for the new term but it’s so very difficult to get hold of them.

Classes run as per normal. They may be busy with all the camps going on - I was unable to get hold of them also but later when i tried the main line, someone picked up really fast. If you are free to try, can go visit the school during lesson times (esp weekends).
