Really cannot get in, I will pick up courage and try 2C.... If still cannot ....sigh....I have tried my best Liao :stupid:

You better have Plan B ready. For my older boy, I decided to take Plan B without trying for Plan A (Cat High) coz Catholic High was only left with 9 seats that year. Did not dare to take the huge risk and end up nowhere.

At least for girls, there's still Marymount Convent.

Good Luck to those who have to ballot at St Nics.

I was lucky. My daughter is from 2010 P1 cohort (ie registered in 2009). No balloting for within 2 km that year. We bought a place opposite St Nics after that.

              Hi,

We moved over to AMK a year ago and honestly we are not very familiar with the primary schools around the area. We have checked through the web sites of all the schools but since we couldn’t do PV, the top two popular ones are already out of our choices (not going to them for 2C too since we are > 1km)

Can someone help explain why the "popularity" of the following 4 seemingly good schools (at least from the websites) is not really high? Some friends pointed the reason to "being the neighborhood school" but I am not really sure…

              Ang Mo Kio Primary\t\t
              Mayflower Primary\t\t
              Teck Ghee Primary\t\t
              Townsville Primary

Any information would be greatly appreciated…

                Hey Gecko,

We are staying around the same vicinity then! Too bad I don't have a girl but then looking at current statistics, < 1 km also need to ballot I think!

I live just opposite what used to be the holding school.
Just shifted in Dec. Was tenanted out for a couple of years.

                    Where do you live?

I also have a DS in SJIJ (I am an old boy so no problems there) and a 2 year old.

Anyone has DS/DD in Townsville? Can’t decide whether to go Townsville or Teck Ghee…

:rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: .... My daughter is in St Nick !!! You couldn't believe how nervous I am at the St.Nick AVA room, my hands were cold, heart was pounding. What a relief ... !! I have 3 girls so you understand the stress. I am so glad it was over, won't want to go through that again.
