      Hi,

Personally I feel LCentral focus more on the child’s phonemic awareness (Foundation has to be strong) and this is important for the child when he learns how to read. Whereas ICR can be just touch and go kind.
Does your child already know his/her phonics like 1st sound, last sound, middle sounds etc? Has he/her attended any pre-schools or enrichment?
My gal who attends LCentral classes since she was 3 has the Foundation and now she is in the LiftOff program which is a structured 33 lessons sessions, I can see she knows her words well and can read rather well which is what LiftOff program is all about.
For ICR, I put my gal there when she was 3 for 1 term and find that she doesn’t enjoy her sessions and hence switch to LCentral.

Hi, can i chk with parents who have or had kids in Liftoff Program, is it true that they have weekly spelling thr'out the program?

Do you find your kids improved significantly after the completion of this program?
I also noticed that they dont cover grammar until their Success Program (ie P1 level)...
Liftoff emphasis as a reading programme. They focus on spelling, reading...picture scenarios and alot more. At end of 33 lessons, children can independently read... I think is amazing.

                    Hi Kiasu Parents,

I read thru all the discussion and heard +ve feed back on LC. My DD just turn 3 yrs last month so bring her to LC for assess they put her in foundation class. Last week we went for trial, teacher told me they did 2 letters \"F\" and \"S\" sound + some art & craft + colouring and some games which all is fine to me and my DD enjoy it very much. I am thinking to sign her up, on the 2nd thoughts, she is in full day childcare. Aren't they do the same things when she is there? Is it doubts?

Maybe I should send her to some other classes for brain development? e.g. shichida etc.... I am just thinking maybe brain training for 1 yrs then send to LC when she is about 4+ yrs.:scratchhead:

I need some advice, appreciate if anyone can share your thoughts. thanks
