Hi, can i chk with parents who have or had kids in Liftoff Program, is it true that they have weekly spelling thr'out the program?

Do you find your kids improved significantly after the completion of this program?
I also noticed that they dont cover grammar until their Success Program (ie P1 level)...
Liftoff emphasis as a reading programme. They focus on spelling, reading...picture scenarios and alot more. At end of 33 lessons, children can independently read... I think is amazing.

Some of their teachers are pretti good. How can a London teacher with first class honours in english and creative just good with preschool children only? Most of their teachers are very qualified… cannot be compared with our local teachers sometimes.

      Hi,

I think LC is not very good for upper pri students. It's more suitable for pre-school kids.

      hi,

any sharing which will be better for upper el?

      tks

Not true leh, the composition structure and textbook they use are very comprehensive.

    • RE: Suspect my maid has hp, advice needed

I think seriously maids should not allow handphone. It is not because we treat them as slaves.

This is my first pinoy maid I employ and agency says we can keep her phone… maybe pass her the phone only at night to use. But I think is ok, so she at first dun use so much but after 6 mths, she started to use every night… then day also… and she is taking care of my baby.
Now she is even taking pics … posting on facebook. So once they using hp, is very very hard to control them…
Yes, you can think of dozens of reasons but they dun think for us. She already got complained by one neighbour who followed her to the park carrying my baby. Neighbour says baby cries but she still on the phone…
I just tell her in a nice way… I can believe her if she get one or two complaints but more than that, I will find it ridiculous. Anyway for me, she has been a good cook, clean the house and loves my baby… and she can listen… but what about other pple’s maids?

Not all maids can cook well… clean well… somemore indulge in phone… then how?

Thanks to queenie44 & hquek for your advises.

I had tried both LCentral & TAS trial classes, my child prefers LCentral but I find that TAS seems to touch more on creative writing.

Maybe I should follow my child's preference?
Of course follow child preference would be good. There must be some balance when I say that... I seen some parents always asking their children whether they wanna go, whether this and that... We are called parents because we have the responsibility to decide certain things for them... not always heeding them.

      Good morning everyone 😄

Can someone advise would there be any repetition if I sign up with TAS and LCentral?

      Thank you.
Is not of repetition to be concern of. Your child will just be getting more practise on composition writing especially. Can tell you which centre she/he enjoys more also if you are able to invest in both. Otherwise, just go to either one first.

    • RE: Enrichment class for a K1 kid

I believe in having anything in moderate. That goes with enrichments. One parent ever ask me children these days are very poor thing, no childhood and so on… but then why dun you think children actually pick up things faster when they are young and also giving them a wide variety to learn…unless your child finds enrichment classes tiring and not enjoyable then that would be a different story. Enrichment is jus part of their childhood … if they are enjoying it.

I think LCentral provides a different learning experience, they have their own text which is MOE allign and qualified native teachers.

My child goes to LCentral Holland and taught by Teacher Stefan. He comes from London with a first class honours in English and Creative Writing. He was struggling with English but now improved alot.
LCentral caters for 3-12 yrs old... , their programmes are cater to child's abilities rather than by age. Already one of the fastest growing centres... with 13 in Singapore.
