      I thought CAP is 4.0?

For NUSH the CAP is 5 max.

The third language centre (MOELC) has shifted since mid last year to Bishan.
NUSH offers some third languages in campus for a fee of $100 pm. Anyone can take it (ie no need to go by t-score for eligibility). You can find it on the school website.

No, there are two centres, one at Bishan and another near Newton (previously at Ghim moh).

        mummy so kiasu:

May I know how much is the monthly school fee & what is last year's COP for NUSH? Will the school CV consider my son if he gets A* for Maths & Science but only A for his languages?

$300 + $20 Misc Fee for S'porean, $100 + $20 Misc Fee (if you qualify for EESIS), for foreigners, the rates will change wef 2013, so for details, please check NUSHS Website. Last year cutoff 262.

If you had finance difficulties, as long as your income per capita qualified, you can apply for Ministry of Education Independent School Bursary (ISB) .

Re 3rd language, what is the difference between taking it in NUSH and MOELC (besides the cost involved)? What is the benefit of taking a 3rd lang as a NUSH student? Will the 3rd lang count towards its CAP, etc.?

As well, do the pupils go in the NUSH uniform on 20 Dec?

            Hi!

It certainly is more convinient taking 3rd Language in school, no need to travel to Bishan/Ghim Moh. You can also use it to pull up your CAP, although it rarely ever helps people to pull it up. It will however affect your GPA, which is your semester grade. However, whether your child/ward takes 3rd language in school or elsewhere, he'll certainly need to put in the time and effort into it which might affect his other grades?

I believe no. They should inform you anyway.

On Matriculation Day, they will ask you to put on a collar shirt, if not, they will lend you one to put on so that they can take your photo for your Student Card.

No harm trying to apply to NUSH .... esp it is a separate application.

Phase II entry using PSLE T-Score only provide placings for 17 students purely based on T-Score merit. That's is the applicants with the highest score to the last available places. Based on past years statistics, the T-score COP is always exceeding 263.

Your DS may try DSA at year 3 entry to NUSH if he is keen.
