Went 2 years back with friends and they brought their Phil helper as well. Seems to go through the same customs etc with nothing special. Not sure if things changed -

most of the 'happening' places are in nagoya, the city centre area where the shopping centres are.. basically its a haven for shopping and massage but not much for children sadly..Hi,
Would like to ask around, any 1 been to batam?
Any places to shop and things to do there...
Which hotel would you recommand and why?
How to travel around?
Which month or season to travel there?
i would suggest hotels in nagoya itself to avoid travelling from other parts, each trip around 35,000 to 40,000 rupiah, too many times oso can eat into ur travel money.. u wouldnt wanna take their buses so its better to move around in cabs.. no exact month/season to go, its all yr round except during hari raya ramadan period when some shops close early.. -
