Ya. He had everything going for him. Who in politics could have his future so well pathed out? There it goes - if the future is too certain and predictable, who will still work hard and make sure they make no mistakes? So, people, don't make things too easy for the PAP. Spare the rod, spoil the child, yes?
Overall I am more saddened when I hear such incidents. Intelligent capable , hardworking men with potential, one moment's failing/temptation/weakness - so much is destroyed. Life can be tough. Hope he and his family have the strength and support to make it thru . -

Just wondering.. if.. say.. IF.. you're in that situation where someone got a handled over you and threaten/blackmail you with it.. would you rather \"pre-emp\" and declare openly for better damaged control? Or maybe your boss (and he's not the only one) found out and ask you to quit? will you rather just quit b4 thing blown out of proportion?
YSL case he was probably caught totally off guard w/o any warning....(?)

Why suddenly out of the blue go and admit?
if he feel it is wrong, why do it in the first place?
If he suddenly realized it is wrong, why not just END it quietly?

It is a calculated damage control by PAP I agree. They did not wait for the shit to hit fan. Still that takes foresight and courage. And that I salute.
If he feel it is wrong, why do it? if he don't feel it is wrong, why admit and apologize? say 1 thing do another?

When you know you can't cover the fire with cloth, it is better admit there's a fire and activate the sprinkler even if it triggers the alarm and alert everyone, than let it spread uncontrolled and do troublesome damaged control later. He should know that he has to quit sooner or later.. hiding is not going to change the outcome.. so.. why hide? -
