Edusave Scholarship Award
-
yenwei:
I am in a secondary school and I had received the Edusave award for being the top 25%. However, I am not eligible but I received the Good Progress Award and am I eligible for GPA if I am not ELIGIBLE or RECEIVED the Edusave award (25%)? MOE information is making me confused and can parents help me on this, thanks.
Edusave Scholarship is for top 10%. Whereas, Edusave Bursary is for top 25%. However, only the low income families could qualified for it. You can still qualified for good progress award as long as you have make great improvement compare to last year performance. You don't have to be top 25%. You could go to MOE website to get more information. -

Yes, GPA is not subject to income ceiling. You are eligible. Congrats! -
Okay, thanks mummy so kiasu and ruohoo97. If that is the case, then I should receive the invitation award for the GPA before 31 January as stated on the letter.

Hi
Can someone clarify please if the scholarship amount is the same as last year for P5, i.e $400 for top 5% and $350 for the next 5%?
Thanks a bunch! -
From year 2012 onwards, this is from MOE website http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/edusave/funds-grants-awards/
For Primary 5 or 6 pupils
If your child is studying in primary 5 or 6 in a government or a government-aided school, he is eligible for the Edusave Scholarship for Primary Schools if he is amongst the top 10% of students of his level. Your child will be selected by his school for this scholarship based on his overall school examination results for the year. The value of the award is $350. -

We r so sad, due to error of school/MOE, we rec’d the Edusave Merit Bursary when it’s supposed to be a scholarship. After I checked w school, then an investigation was done in end December and we will only rec the correct letter an award end of Jan/early Feb. Understand that we will miss the presentation by then. Wonder why a letter take so long ?
