    • RE: 2016 PSLE Discussions (Born in 2004)

But P5 has to stay back twice a week for supplementary and another day for cca, by the time they reached home, they have to rest then complete school homework. It seems quite hard to squeeze out time for revision esp they have to go to bed early. šŸ˜“[/quote]

I agreed with the above, pity my ds.... Dn even have spare time to do what he likes.

      I'm new to this forum.

Wanna check other then pasir Ris n white sands primary which is the next prefer school?
As the 2schs is within 1-2km frr my place n with their past year results on Phase 2C my gal is totally out from this 2sch!

So which is e next prefer sch except Meriden n park view..
Feedback on coral, Loyang, Elias park n casuarina primary?

      Tks in advance..
Hi, I do have a few friends and relatives staying in pasir ris from east to west. Lots of my nephews, nieces and friends' kids studies Meriden, Whitesands, Parkview & Elias Park.. Getting in a popular school doesn't really make a kid smarter only (to be frank, based on experience)

Eg. One of my nephews who studied in Meriden scored 3 As & 1A star. Back then, it was still a pretty new school.

One niece & one cousin's son who studied in Parkview scores all As & 3As 1A respectively.

Two cousin's sons' results were, one to Normal & one to Express stream with no straight As..

Friends' daughter & son scored straight As in Elias Park too...

I personally feel that it's perfectly ok to place kids in any school. The most important and based on the above mentioned kids' scores.. (After much own-self analysis) the good result comes from both child & parents very much. Yes, of coz the teachers & principle do play a part as well, however if the parents do not make the effort to guide them on both study & moral... Hmmm ... It's still depend on individual kids at the end of the day..

So dear parents here, pls do not stress yourself too much... apply the one nearer to your flat even its a normal neighbourhood school... Kids are too stress these days...Let the kids have some 'childhood' study is NOT everything ... Character, attitude & moral are more important in life.

Are your kids' kindergarten going to bring your k2 kid to nearby primary schools, to show then how to buy food from tuck shop ?

Look out for other schools open house and bring your child go see look primary school environment and practise buying food in canteen. It doesn't matter whether your child is going to that school or not. Just go for the see see look look experience.

Great family bonding experience. Educational too.

Oh is there any way to find out which Sch has open house before the registration starts? Thanks

Yeah, I have the same sentiment as you.. I'm so worried my little piggy is unable to get used to P1 next year. Wonder if he will be able to order food by himself. Unlike his elder brother, little piggy loves to stay home. He loves to eat-in rather than eating outside when I don't cook.
