Hi, Anyone here applied for transfer to St.Hilda’s Primary and got through for P4 (in 2012). I applied for my DD and to-date havent got any reply. The admin gives inconsistent replies at each call. Thanks

    jtoh:HyperKiasu:
Screening test is marked by the school teachers. Selection test by MOE.does it mean the school will determine who clear round 1( the 10% of the school) ? Or MOE will collect the results from all schools and different schools will have different % who clear round 1? :?Schools will mark, pass the results to MOE who will then collate all the results, determine the cut off point for the top 5000 or so students who will move on to the Selection Test. Schools do not determine who gets through. They just mark.
ya, 50000 sets of paper for both eng and maths are too much a workload for MOE to mark....thanks ...

Andaiz:Wah, didn't come here for 2 days and the forum sorta exploded....chamonix:All the best to your DD1 and those taking the GEP tests! Thanks, chamonix....enjoy your extended holiday in France. That's the best time to bond with the kid(s)...Hi AndaizOui, oui, we are enjoying every minute now. As a matter of fact, we just brought the kids to Disney today. But I'm also secretly worrying about my kids' ability to adapt to the Sg pressure cooker system upon our return... They are leading a very carefree life now!Andaiz:toddles:
haiz,Busymom, I donch mind....haven't you heard? 40 is the new 20 :boogie: Yeah esp since that age group has all the moolah to buy fancy toys like flashy sports cars... they always say, can't change wife, so change car. :siam:haha, lesser of two evils anyway, I changed jobs after being > 15 years in one. MLC for sure ....if you don't know what that stands for, you're probably not there yet :skeptical:
MLC = Mid-Life Crisis?Am not there yet but soon...

Hi…Fairy, RGS has 5 GEP classes for Secondary 1 and 2, usually from 109 until 113…as I know 113 is the TOP class…maybe top academic, maybe top sport, maybe top music.

Hi Tjas,Perhaps what you can do since your DD always use computer for long hours, perhaps you can put the computer in the common area eg, living room. So at least it will help you know whuch website she normally goes. Perhaps she is smart but maybe her focus is other things.I think most important thing is to get her interested to study. Find out the root of the problem and it will solve the problem easilyI hope this will help
