How can that case happen?pirated:

It is possible that in the decoupling process the out-going owner may still be joint borrower of the mortgage. Hence if he buys a new ppty he may siam the ABSD but cannot take 80% loan because he has an existing housing loan.
Ownership and borrowing need not be mirror image. You can be a borrower but not the owner. Or be the owner but not the borrower.
Say you are the joint borrow and use the property as mortgage. The moment you remove your name from the property, what are you going to use as collateral? Why would the bank continue to extend to you the loan?
Most likely you will be expected to repay in full (say, from the proceeds of the \"sale\", or watever), isn't it?
So how is it not linked to the ownership and decoupling? with regards to \"housing loan\".
I was also quite puzzled, but since PRT said can, maybe he's doing it now, so it might be possible? i.e multiple ppties for his dw or DC?! They are owners but PRT is the one paying! :moneyflies: :rotflmao: Or maybe got \"little three\"? :yikes:
Very very few banks will ever agree to that right, limlim? OK they might have access to the credit bureau, your tdsr, ltv, but there's still a risk and their internal audit will flag this anomaly out asap...Btw, collateral can be borrower's factory, plant or other assets? :rotflmao:
If u r still paying, isn't that by way of gift liao? That's very risky, cos less than 5 years, if borrower becomes a bankrupt, then \"little three\"'s love nest will be seized...

JS - don’t qualify for little 3, eryeh or little white face may be rofl

The owner need to act as guarantor?Proven. You can be borrower without being owner.
The bank is still holding the house a mortgage even though now owned by another person
Say in a legal battle, the borrower run road. The owner pay the bank his share of the loan. The owner now owns the bank nothing. What right has the bank to seize the property? How does the bank protect it's interest? -

:goodpost: Hi, I am selling my property (2BR, newly renovated) at Regal Court (high floor, fireworks view), 10-15mins drive to good schools along Bukit Timah e.g. SCGS so suitable for those with young school going children. It's close proximity walking distance to Whampoa market and food ctr with accessibility to famous tasty local food. Good for busy adults with not much time to cook. It's city fringe so just 15mins drive to town. 3 NTUC around with 1 of them operating 24hrs and within walking distance, and another is a NTUC Finest. If you are keen, pls follow this link to contact my agent. Tx!

Are the prices of property going south? It seems it isn’t with the recent news on Forest Woods
-
Won’t be unless interest rates start rising. People can still afford since both the interest rate and unemployment rate are low.
-
Earlier this year the SIBOR seemed heading north but probably not now.
-
Agree with TakChek. Prices already headed south but not enough. Btw, we don’t know what the developers give as rebates back to the buyers as we only see the listed price. Anyway, prices have not dropped enough to entice me to buy.
