jedamum:
THAT'S THE SAME AS MINE!!!!
yes, ds1 will wash up by himself cos i am preparing breakfast (bread and jam plus milk).winth:
Do your DS1 get ready, dress up, wash up all by himself???
It was our initial plan when he first started P1, but I guess we merely thought it was okay for maid to do my 'wake-him-up' job and it went hay wire.
Now, there is over-reliance on the maid, plus maid can't handle DS1&2.
So now, dress up, wash up all by maid.
They just 'auto-zombi' till breakfast table.
On bad days when they sleep later the night before, they just kick a fuss and cry on the bed.
he will dress up on PE days and i will help on uniform days, and maybe just once a week, i will dress him up cos he likes to be pampered.
it is more rowdy when ds1 and ds2 are awake together (at times ds2 will wake up early cos of ds1's yakking).
ya, on bad days, ds1 (even at P2) will kick up a fuss. he is especially particular that i wake him at 5.45 then at 6am cos any later, he claims, eats into his 'resting after breakfast' time.
your kid still pretty young la. so still have to go by their mood at times.
And my DS2 wakes up same time as DS1, that's when the whole drama starts! -
jedamum:
Oh ya... Forgot...
:? did i typo error somewhere? i SAHM leh.winth:
But u mean, the 3 of u will be out of the house, leaving DS2 asleep???
How can? Home alone?
Thot u'll bring DS1 to school... -
In our family, we have P2 and 2 in childcare - coming 3 and 5 yrs:-
I wake up at 6am and cook soup&rice, place drinks/milk/snacks into their school bags, place their uniforms and fold clothes still in dryer.
6.30am - wake P2 and 5 years old and ask them to brush teeth, drink milk and change to uniform, also feed ds3 milk (still in dreamy mode). While they’re doing this, I’ll bathe and get ready for work.
6.45am - wake Dh and Ds3, get Ds3 - changed. While Dh bathe and get ready, I’ll let them play a while if have time. Otherwise, help them to speed up.
7.00am - 7:15am (latest) - leave home. Send Ds1 to school, then Ds2&3 to CC. Dh send me to mrt station.
Luckily, Ds1 study nearby our home. -
When DD1 was in P1, and I was still working, I would be in-charge of getting her up, bringing her to the bathroom and changing her into her school uniform or PE attire. sashimi is responsible for getting her breakfast ready. While she's eating, I would comb and tie her hair up. Then, she'll lie down for a short while till sashimi is ready to leave. If she is slow, she doesn't have this \"rest period\". I will then go for my shower and leave either with them or before them. sashimi brings DD1 to school. That was a tough year as DD1 could not be awakened by any alarms we used and was very difficult to drag out of bed.
Now that DD1 is in P2, she has become more independent, partly because she wanted to and partly because she had to, due to the birth of DD2. I'm now a SAHM and DD2 will usually have a morning feed when DD1 and sashimi are getting ready for school/work. DD1 has an alarm clock now that wakes her up. She will go to the bathroom on her own and change into her school uniform or PE attire herself. sashimi will still prepare her breakfast. While eating, she will comb and tie her hair up herself. Then, she brushes her teeth. She often goes to school on her own and comes back on her own. The school is just across the road and she has her own set of keys.
I always ensure that DD1's bag is packed and ready to go. Her hair accessories and clothes are also laid out the day before. So in cases when they both oversleep, there is still a chance that they will both make it in time for school/work.
P.S. jedamum, M asks me to tell you to tell J: Sleep so much for what?
-
cos ds1 has butter fingers, he has to take breakfast before changing into school attire.
schellen:
lolz. he usually does not doze off after he wakes up at 6am. he just likes to lie down lazily.

Hi,
Sorry to \"tumpang' your topic. But wanna ask how about schedules for those sending to CC? I'm sending my girls to CC next month and will disrupt their whole routine.
1) How do I wake them up in the morning?
2) Do you bathe them in the morning because CC's shower time at 3 leh... after lunch and nap... stinky baby makes a cranky baby
3) How do you get the used to the change of routine so will less
Need :?: -
My motto is SLEEP EARLY, WAKE UP EARLY? NO SWEAT

every night before bedtime, go thru the school bag/timetable with kids.
young kids (4-9 years old) should be in bed by 8 or latest 9 pm.
i would wake up half hour before everyone and get myself ready. make sure breakfast is on the table before getting both kids. breakfast is usually a very simple affair (bread, cereal, fruits, milk, juice).
lthe only time i might have a problem is getting them out of bed. usually once they have washed their face and brushed their teeth, they are ready to zoom off to school. we were always in school by 7 am.
there was once i was running a bit late, ds was kicking up such a fuss (she was afraid of being late)and i was really pissed of.f so i deliberately drove really slow and got to school at 7.19 am (1 min before the bells).
that taught her not kick up a fuss and know that mmummy wont send her to school late. -

I have a DS1 in P3 and DS2 in nursery. School bags will have to be packed the night before. Usually we will all wake up at 7am, DS1 school starts at 7.40am. DS1 will have to wash-up before changing into his uniform (I'll hang it outside his bathroom) while I prepare his breakfast (usually cereal or bread with milk). We need to leave the house at 7.25am so I will bring DS1's breakfast down to the car, DS1 usually eats his breakfast in the car. Because I don't have maid, so DS2 will have to follow us in the morning too. After I drop DS1 at his school, I'll return home and continue the tasks needed for DS2.
DS2 school only starts at 9am, so after dropping DS1, we still have about an hour where we can sit down and have some breakfast and get ready for school. :celebrate:
Because I need to handle two, so DS1 has been trained since K2 to shower himself and wear his own clothes, socks and shoes.
