Some parents have shared in previous year (2019?) that RGS academic interviews were also in groups (not sure the group size). But do note that schools can change their criteria/process anytime so it may be different this year.

My DS attended interviews in 2 IP schools some years ago (pre-Covid) while a third school did not require interview, both interviews were in groups of 3.

In 2019, 3 years ago -

for group interview (Acadamic Maths domain), it was more than 3 candidates, per group. Inside this group interview for Maths domain, there is a mixture of both (GEP + Mainstream) P6 students, present.


My friend's daughter back then, from Mainstream (one of the more popular primary schools, but not from RGPS) , was offered a CO (RGS).

Towards the end of the group interview, she recalled one interviewer asked her directly, in front of all the other candidates present at the group interview,
\"are you from GEP ?\"
My friend's daughter replied \"No, I am not from GEP \".

Congrats to the girls shortlisted for interview for DSA Chinese Dance at NYGH. Just curious. How many were shortlisted down from 60yish girls turned up for audition. Can share.

Interestingly, we did not apply RI leadership. But we receive a rejection letter as below:


Any parents receive such email without application to the talent domain?

Thank you for your son/ward’s interest in, and application to, Raffles Institution via the 2022 DSA-SEC Exercise.
All applications have been deliberated carefully. However, we regret to inform you that your son/ward has not been shortlisted for the DSA-SEC Interview under Leadership and Character Domain. If he had applied for two talent areas, you would have received another email on the outcome of the second talent area.


If your son/ward is still keen to join us, we would like to encourage him to apply for admission to RI again through the S1 Posting based on his PSLE results. However, please note that should he take up another school’s DSA offer, he will not be eligible to take part in S1 Posting.

My boy received rejection email from RI under “leadership and character” domain. The thing is…. we didn’t even apply it eh? We have received all emails from all the 3 domains / schools we applied… this is the 4th one…. :whut:

For those waiting to hear from SST, I received this reply from them a while ago…


We are still in the shortlisting process and will inform applicants via email if they are shortlisted.

Applicants who are not shortlisted for Phase 2 will be informed via email before 13 Aug.
