Any good recommendation of English Creative Writing course for lower primary at Jurong? Thks

Hi
You may wish to check out The Write Place (http://www.mexxi3.com). It is headed by Ms Liza Tan, who has published a couple of good compo books. The waiting list is rather long though for classes. -
My nephew is going P5 next year. Since P1, his English result has been poor, either fail or just pass. I realised that due to his poor command in English, his Maths and Science results are also affected. Thus, I am looking for a tution centre (in the EAST, preferably Bedok, Tampines or Simei) which can help students to build a good foundation in English. I hope that he can get the foundation right before moving him to more demanding English classes.
Appreciate if anyone can recommend any. Thanks. -

How about LCentral @ Tampines? Its a new branch for abt 2mths located at Tampines CPF building. My nephew is going P5 next year. Since P1, his English result has been poor, either fail or just pass. I stay in PR also, find it hard to find. I have tried I-creative learner, they are home based but limited seats. Kent Ridge at White Sand, they only have creative writing from P4 onward. Winnie is the teacher, she is a script writer, quite impressive right. My kid is only P3 so cant join them.I am looking for creative writing for my son whom is going P4 next year.

Have any of you tried of The Alternative Story ctr? If yes, how is your child coping with it. Appreciated, if you can share. -
We have been sending my son to British Council. I think the emphasis is different. The mode of teaching is more on general knowledge, overall, not just creative writing or a specific area academically but overall. This is our opinion. You can try.
So next year my son is going P4. We found some tuition centres neighbourhood. We live in Tampines. There’s one centre in Sun Plaza claim to conduct creative writing. Is the Kent Ridge good?
thanks again. -

My child is at The Alternative Story, we joined not too long ago, about a month..can't say much about results improvement cos only been a month here but we like it a lot. The teacher is very engaging and my child whose attention span is quite short can focus and learn for 2 hours and he comes back always excited to share what he learns. I notice that his resistance to doing Compre and Compo is less too.
In the past, he would drag his feet to complete a compo or compre but now he is quite excited to do one. What impresses me is how the teacher has managed to instill in him this enthusiasm...
I feel that the teachers really believe in the kids too and they always seem very happy to see them. When my boy first went, the teacher told the others that he was new and to welcome him into the class too....I was touched by this gesture as teachers would usually focus on the teaching part and not the emotions of the kids but the teacher understood that the child being new would feel a bit out of place. So overall I am very happy with The Alternative Story. -
Lcentral vs ICR, which is better for kid English lesson? Don’t know which to send my baby to…
