how to slim down

24hr-mum:
how abt specifically how to reduce stomach fat?
Ya, my problem is not so much the weight, but the extra fats round the stomach. It's so depressing each time I see something I like but when I put it on, the flaw showed up \"glaringly\". I like dresses, but can't find one that hide the fats reasonably well.
Can't do sit-ups or similar exercises becos of a spinal surgery that I had years ago.
Anyone with any advice.tips to share? -
for dresses or tops, can get something that has a ribbon or sash to cover the front

Can anyone give me some dieting tips? I have been on Jenny Craig for a little under 2 months and I have lost 13 pounds. The program has become too expensive for me to afford, but I would still like to lose 10 more pounds. Summer is quickly approaching and I would like to lose it as quickly as possible. I need some good dieting tips, i have heard the special K diet works?

Suggest cut down / out the carbo, sure way to lose weight!
BTW why \"summer is quickly approaching\"? U from overseas? -
Sleep earlier, drink more water and cut down on sugar and other refined carbs sources like white bread, white rice… Definitely no sugary drinks…

Does anyone know of a good diet pill that mainly supresses your hunger?
I’m going on a diet tomorrow. I exercise too; but I always feel hungry when on a diet. That’s why I’m looking for a pill that will help me with that. Any suggestions? A friend of mine suggested Comtrex even if that is not a diet pill, he says, kinda suppresses your apetite. What do you think? -
Be careful with those diet pills. You remember what happened to Andrea D’Cruz?

yes. Do be very cautious before you decide on such pills.
I dont know the reason for dieting but if you are looking for have the results for a long term - you have to see how sustainable your diet is. If weight loss is the key target, then gradual and steady does it.
Some advice, since it is easy to give such advise than follow it
- Stick with low GI food
- no white rice/bread,
- minimize sugar
- skim milk only.
- of course minimize fats especially thru fried stuff
- substitute snacks with juicy fruits

I need to diet too but never got the motivation. Food is really good in Singapore. I cut down on my carbs over a week and dropped 2kg. But the weight has not dropped further after that.
Now thinking of joining a gym or CC to do kickboxing or some cardio exercises. If I can’t cut down on food, the least I could do is to increase my metabolic rate. I also thought of joining a slimming centre but have since put that thought aside as it could cost up to $10,000 to look like Christy Chung.
A kickboxing course at the CC only costs $72 for 8 sessions. FitnessFirst gym charges $140 per month thereabouts. Still cheaper than those slimming centres that don’t guarantee success. Even if I don’t lose much weight doing kickboxing, at least I will get healthier.
My advice: Don’t take any pills. Increase cardio activity and reduce carbs. Eat more vege or protein instead. Takes longer but at least you won’t require a liver transplant. -
I am taking a powder drink that is make up of whole grains, wheats, fruits and vege - Lacto Fiber. The main purpose is to give fiber to our body so that is cleanse our digestive system.
If taken 1/2 hour before food, it does give you the filling feeling so that you won’t eat as much. To a certain extend, it has help me curb my eating. So now for my dinner, I have cut down by 1/2 on my rice, taking more vege and protein. Not sure if you will be interested in this. Since it is made from natural ingredient, it is more safe than those pills. I am still breastfeeding and this drink is safe for pregnant and breastfeeding mum too.
