I am most disgusted when the perpetrator is a relative. Makes me so paranoid…

Remember the Bishan Gay pervert a few years back? My friend spotted him at Junction 8 last week looking at him and then my friend broke off into a run because that guy was simply pervertic and eyeing at my friend with a so-called "pedo-smile"
Former teacher jailed for molesting students
          By Elena Chong

A former teacher was jailed for 10 years and ordered to be given six strokes of the cane on Monday for molesting two boys and performing oral sex on an eight-year-old in school.

The 38-year-old had admitted to two counts of molesting an 11-year-old and eight-year-old and two counts of penetrating another eight-year-old in 2009.

The court heard that in early 2009, the accused saw the 11-year-old in school and took him to a computer lab, offering him a chance to play with his PlayStation Portable (PSP).

He molested the victim as he was playing with the PSP. The victim did not say anything as he was afraid of the accused.
This makes me thankful for having had an equivalent of a "sex talk" with my kids from the moment they were 3. I walked them through various scenarios of adults touching them inappropriately and taught them to yell "Pervert! Get away from me!! Aaaaaaaaaah! Scream head off" and kept repeating that if EVER that happens, they must tell me. Over the years, I remind them what to do.

I also never allow either to go to public toilets alone. Even with DS at 11, I will now still stand outside the men’s toilet and yell "Are you alright?" just to make sure that people know that the little boy in there has a Mommy outside waiting… and that this Mommy was prepared to barge in there to save her son if any male tried anything.

Same here. I sat down with DD when she was about 4 and told her if anyone touches her in an inappropriate way (quoted her some examples) whether a stranger or someone she knows, she is to let mummy know immediately. If we don’t protect our own children who are defenceless, who will ?

there are also molesters who disguised themselves as people of authority such as policeman and doctors to confuse our kids

its so sickening to hear that because of some perverts’ doing, the entire family (of the victim) has to suffer.

Both have equal exposure to danger so it is really necessary for us to prevent our kids.I think every child should join self defense training classes so that they can protect themselves.

For a 3 year old, how to teach them about perverts, without confuse them with teachers bathing them? If start to teach so early, will they start to scream pervert whenever teachers help them to bath?
